Avs played more hockey? Not sure if you remeber they lost 1st round last year, so how far back you taking this? Also miny does not have the fresh legs. CO had a weeks rest minny just got done. Which d core has the most points in the NHL? Also Minny will be playing at altitude to start the series and you think they will be the fresh team. Did you guys just not look at stats trends logic and reason for these picks? Also if Manson comes back take blankenbug out of the d lineup for CO.
Avs fans have said for months we'd rather see a 2nd round matchup with Minnesota than with Dallas. The only deviation that I have seen from that is fans seeking revenge/"beat the best" kind of justifications. And the reason is pretty glaring: Minnesota is a lot smaller than Dallas. Minnesota plays like Colorado, but less well and with less depth. With Dallas, the Avs have to adjust their game to match their physicality. With Minnesota, they just have to execute their game plan. Over a seven-game series, that should be the difference that puts the Avs over the edge.
Colorado in 6 if they do what they did in 2022 and always come out hot in game 1s

Colorado beat the Kings while saving their energy and are probably fully healed up aswell, without some huge key injuries, I think the Avs are gonna lose maybe 1 or 2 but will defeat Minnesota

God I can't believe some of the stuff im hearing. First off this series hasnt started and Minnesota is already backs against the wall. They just went through a dog fight and lost brodin for at least games 1 and 2 and Erickson ek is questionable. Then the turn around of getting a day of rest then travel day to a state that is 1 mile above sea level. Idc who you are, without proper training and being used to the altitude in Colorado your gonna be sucking wind up here. Colorado sounds like they are gonna get manson back for game 1 and if not 1 hes in for game 2. And this Colorado team is also physical and will throw down if need be. Nelson kadri roy LOC dury Kelly manson landeskog are gonna be in the wild faces if they try and get physical and dirty with the avs. Im gonna say the avs win in 6 but the winner of this series should be the representative of the western conference in the finals. Neither vegas or Anaheim have anything that tops these 2 teams

It's easy, if the Avs can score on PP they win in 5 or 6. If they can't, they'll be out in 6 or 7.

I think Adam may be a bit confused on the Avs playoff history lately. They really haven't been as successful as he claimed and they haven't played as much as he thought. Only once have they gotten past the second round in the MacKinnon era – 2022. And in the years since, they blew the first round against Seattle, lost in the second round to Dallas, and then lost in the first round to Dallas. They really haven't done much since that cup.

Avs have home ice. Their center depth is VASTLY superior. The defenses are a wash at best assuming Manson plays. The goaltending is also a wash I cannot comprehend the statement saying "I'd rather take both of Min's tenders" over both Avs goalies. This feels like they haven't seen the Avs play for a few days… because they didn't… because they swept the team they played lmfao…

You completely left out Colorado's playoff experience. There are NINE Avs players who were on the 2022 Cup winning team with Rantanen being the only key guy that they are missing. MN has 3 guys who have won a Cup-of course none with the Wild. The Avs only lost 4 games in 2022, including 2 sweeps. They're ready and hungry. The Avs are also on a 10 game road winning streak. Avs in 5. Producer Drew is going to have a field day with ya.
As wild fan I only hope the wild play really good and it at least goes to 6. I do think they have a chanse tovwin but they have to play flawless/perfect. Sadly I do think the avs takes it. Brodin will be missed in this games.

Biggest thing for the Wild is the Foligno, McCarron, Foligno line have to slam the Avs D through the boards in the first period of every game to wear them down. Play them like they did Dallas.

Everyone really overrating the Wild cause they have been on TV more recently lmao. Avs getting a sweep vs the Kings and people box score watching thinking they didn’t control that entire series.
Wild trying to play hitting hockey doesnt really do much to the Avs who just went through that with an entire Kings team. Steven kinda overrating the Wild based off playing a slower Dallas team that sucked at 5v5. Wild are in for a rude awakening at even strength. Avs PP started to look better and their PK is still a top unit in the league. The ice opening up more is going to be a benefit to the Avs top guys.

As and Avs fan, Im nervouse about this matchup. But Minnesota really isn't a defensive team so that edge you gave colorado doubles. They have incredible defensemen, but they dont exactly play high level defense

Feels like no one watched the Kings series and saw how physical it was (it was all the Kings could do). MIN is a great team but I find it hard to imagine them playing any heavier than the Avs have already endured.

As an avs fan I don’t mind yall picking Minnesota,it’s going to be a very tough series that can go either way,however I don’t really understand Adams thinking,the past 3 seasons the avs lost in the first round second round and first round,we haven’t really played that more hockey than the Wild have
