Knob experiment is over, our 4th line was buzzing that final game and barely played, Joel had his 4th line going cause they were buzzing, out coached, who ever was in charge of pk should be fired, and for whatever reason knob hates the physical stuff and it showed in this series again !!
The defending aspect of the team needs to addressed.
I’m fine with Knoblauch staying, although a coach like Bruce Cassidy could do this team some good. But there has to be changes to the assistant coaches responsible for the PK, and defence if Paul coffee doesn’t return.
It would take a great Gm 2-4 years to get them back to being contenders. They don't have one. I said "Get a decent Gm and get a decent Coach" in Oct 2025. I do not see McD staying here without a massive miracle turnaround, and I don't see that happening under Katz rule. What a waste of McD's time here.

Knobs addressed that he probably should’ve played other guys more, but he was already warned in January by Leo when he stated he and others were being played too much and he never really adjusted except for in March… when leo was injured. So with that, I think he’s been given his chances and it’s just not working out and coaching needs to be elevated. Need a coach with more fire and emotion.
Let’s be honest; Bowman did not make the best moves in the summer for this team. But knob never played them all to find any chemistry. The only time he did was in March. At that time, Edmonton finished the season as third best in defence!! . Total collapse when the playoff started when he leaned on his top players too much, and INJURED at that. It’s pretty crazy.
Bowman needs to vacate! He has made this team worse and the Skinner trade should have been enough to terminate.
Boys looked slow this season . Management failed adding the right players. Dickson , Dach and Murphy were the exception. Rico has reached his best before date. The Ducks showed what well coached team can do. Agree on Ingram and Nurse. Bouchard may be an asset to trade to get a top goalie .
Give max Jones Janmarks 13th forward spot. He's cheaper

They were fighting for a playoff position down to the last couple of games, in the worst division. For sure they went backwards this year, not just in the playoffs.
Wasn’t a fun playoffs this year I mean when playoffs started the weather was shityy snowing and all grey . Now that oilers are out we have a playoff weather with sunset orange and blue sky 😢
Exactly spot on. team, players , coaches , management all were awaken and humbled with the season and elimination and have provided a valuable lesson learned by all hopefully allowing every aspect of the team to reflect and refocus their intention and drive to be a better team next year
I felt they should have sat Connor and Leon at times this year. They’ve played a lot of hockey 2 finals and Olympics. Let other players build confidence
Nurse isn't the issue per say, but Oilers really need shake up the roster. Maybe time for Nuge to go or really need to hit the gym this off season so isn't push off the puck. We need gritty young players to pest in the corner.

TSN had Hayes, Noodles, and O-Dog on their usual telecast. They compared Edmonton to Toronto. Only difference was that the Oilers made the playoffs. They were lucky to make the playoffs. It's the changing of the guard in the NHL. Young teams on the rise. Not just Anaheim, but also Montreal and Utah. Sharks not far away. Big time retool needed here. Have to get younger and faster. Howard and Hutson should be given every chance to make the team come training camp. I don't think either one of them was ready this year. Savoie needed time in the minors to gain experience. It was obviously how much it helped him. Let's hope that happens with Howard and Hutson. Dach and Samanski are good to go as far as I'm concerned. They provide some of that much needed youth. Anyhow, if I was Daryl Katz I would kick ass. Jackson and Bowman out the door, in a hurry. I don't want to listen to anything Bowman has to say. He signed Frederic to an eight-year extension? Good move to sign someone who hasn't produced. Then there's the Mangiapane disaster, and the more disastrous Jarry trade. What other team is going to want Jarry? AHL goalie. So, we're stuck with him. Jackson and Bowman have to go. They've made the team worse. This is their fault. I can't blame coach. He can only work with what they give him. He took the team to two finals in a row. Not many coaches can say that. He gets a pass from me. Expectations are another issue. Just because Florida made the finals three years in row doesn't mean the Oilers would automatically do so. Time for new management. Get a new GM in place, hopefully before July 1st and let him/her get to work. Maybe whoever it is can go back in time and keep Broberg and Holloway with the team. Goddamn SOB let them go for nothing. The way things are going it will soon be a rebuild and not a retool. Like Quinn Hughes McDavid will be playing elsewhere. Well, at least we'd get a big-time haul for him to start the rebuild. If Gretzky can be traded, anyone can be traded. If Bowman is doing the trade he'll probably get Jimmy Carson as one of the players in return. I think Carson is selling real estate in Detroit now. If Bowman is still GM come next winter, I'm just going to stay outside and build snowmen.

Bowman and his dead beat deals should go . They need to find a better goalie and some young players with skill , can skate fast . I like to see Nurse to stay if only he take cut in his pay . Also Knobs has to learn to play all 4 lines and stop depending on Connor and Leon so much .
