Great quality footage. Love the Whalers jersey of that era . The Churla -Maguire fight was one of the best scraps in my early days of collecting. Miss the days when hockey was worth watching…
The Viave chirp is hilarious
Hartford had a very good team
Churla, Semenko, MacDermid, Kleinendorst. Back when the Whalers had balls
What does "The Incredible Hulk", Pete Rose and John Brophy have in common? …..🪖
GREAT WORK, VIN! You're really Perfecting your "Game". Your production work is becoming Fully Rounded. Adding all of the peripheral subject matter that has impact on the game as a whole. You're a "Pro".
P.S. I almost referred to your work as ARTISTIC but I didn't want to insult the Name/Brand…. "Rough Stuff".
I thought the thumbnail was Nylund and Semenko, which I assumed Nylund would win. Terry Johnson did a good enough job for someone who seldom fought. This footage should be sent to the HHOF — Semenko being in a fight where he didn’t jump the other guy is about as rare as seeing Sasquatch driving a Delorean.
Cherry liking Ulf lol.
maguire v churla is a classic for sure!
Even back then the Leafs couldn't play defense. Love Cherry's comments… now thats irony
Sweet goal by Ron Francis.
I wish I could relive 80s and 90s hockey. What a time! Thanks Vin
Of course Ulfie wouldn't touch Clark after tagging Weeks
Hearing the Garden announcer read off those penalties puts me right back in the living room on a Saturday night. Cool !
This was the only WHALERS Adams Division title team: 43-30-7 for 93 points. We lost in the opening round of the playoffs to Quebec, 4 games to 2 after we won the first two games in Hartford. Our franchise has been gone for 29 years and we still miss them dearly.
Ron Francis playing the point on the Whalers power play, similar to Connor McDavid playing the point on the current Oilers power play. I never liked a forward playing the point on the power play. There's always a chance the team with the man advantage can give up a weak short-handed goal.
