Vegas had more shorthanded goals than Utah had power play goals in this series. The PK was the difference maker in this series
And with that, all four wild card teams are out in the first round.
So…it’s going to be VGK. This is going to be a challenge for the Ducks. VGK just beat a UTAH team that is in a very similar situation to ANA…but ANA just beat a team that is in a somewhat situation to EDM…I think it’s going to be a closer series than people think.
That said, I’m going with VGK in 6.

Utah Power Play scored 1 goal the entire series. Vegas Penalty Kill scored two shorties. Killer stat!
NHL already scheduled the start of the avs and Min series to start Sunday. So wouldn’t be surprised if the Vegas and Ana starts Sunday as well or Monday
So I pretty much got the boring blow out more or less…..Vegas seemed so dominant with one of the commentators during the second break talking about Utah's speed having trouble penetrating Vegas layered defense. What I noticed was Vegas defenders always giving support to Carter Hart (although he had a great game) and with a 2-0 lead going into the third period…..well, Utah had overcome bigger deficits in the series but the way the Knights scored so quickly after Utah's single goal….well, the writing really did seem on the wall but Marner left no doubt. Is it just me or did it seem Vegas was winning most of the face offs….or at least all the ones that quickly led to scores. Really enjoyed the series but more I think because these anouncers kept hyping up the speed of Utah trying to paint a more competitive picture than it actually turned out to be.

Peterka with no points and a -3 rating in the 6 playoff games. Sabres fans warned that he wouldn't be much of a playoff performer. Meanwhile, Doan had the GWG in game 4 and willingly took a massive hit in order to make a play on Benson's series sealing goal last night!
Utah surely didn't show up last night but, seriously speaking, this series was over when the Mammoth lost Games 4 and 5 in OT. Utah management really has to take a long, long look in the mirror and see what they want to do with this team and what style of play they want to go with. I went to all of the Utah home games and Game 5 in Vegas and towards the end of the series it really looked like men playing against boys.

Utah got very lucky in game 3 as they lost in every stat except points. By how Vegas played in every game except game 2, you could just feel Utah was not at the same level as Vegas.
