Apparemment, lors d’un des matchs récents, certaines personnes huaient l’hymne américain et scandaient les États-Unis.
Je suis conscient que ceux qui huent ne savent pas lire et que ce message ne les atteindra donc pas, mais quoi qu’il en soit, les huées sont absolument inacceptables, surtout lorsque plusieurs de nos joueurs sont canadiens.
Si nous finissons par jouer contre les Sabres ou contre le Tricolore, nous devons être respectueux.
Si vous êtes absolument déterminé à huer, alors je suis sûr que les Stars adoreraient vous emmener, car les Ducks ne supportent pas cela.

I don’t get the emotions behind anthems. It’s just a sign you are indoctrinated with propaganda at a young age. Same with getting over emotional with flag burning. It’s a piece of cloth. It’s not that serious. Both countries governments hate you and couldn’t care less about you. And they don’t even care about their own countries, only when to posture if it’s good PR.
I went to game four round 1, there was one boo that very quickly got shamed and shut up. Plenty of cheering after it, all class.
Why Americans would boo our anthem (other than pure idiocy) is beyond me.
Playing the national anthem at a private league sporting event (NHL/MLB/NBA/etc.) is dumb.

Absolutely agree. I was at all 3 home games and thankfully it was only game 3 that this happened. Shouldn’t have happened at all, but it did cease for game 4 and on

Canadians are our friends. They may not be as good as us Americans at hockey, but I’ll never disrespect our wonderful neighbors from the north. In my opinion, when you boo their anthem, you’re booing those who sacrificed to make Canada, and frequently the world, a better place. They’ve fought side by side with Americans and thousands of Canadians and Americans forever share a final resting place in Normandy. Are there people worth booing from Canada? Yeah. Are there people worth booing in the US? Yes. But you disrespect everyone when you boo the anthem.
I disagree with the booing and think it’s lame but this all started when us Canadians booed first last year.
Unfortunately because of that there were always be a group of Americans (and Canadians still do it too) that will boo.
While the troll part of me thinks it’s hilarious, I do think it’s effed up for our Canadian players. How’re they supposed to feel about that
Just a reminder that these teams do not represent any one country. We have several Canadians on the roster and the Oilers have a few Americans on their roster.

Look I was at the game. There were like three people who booed and they were quickly hushed. No reason to highlight their stupidity. It was a non issue.
As a die hard Oilers fan, wish nothing but the best for Ducks in playoffs, but yeah, booing our anthem is cringe and not a good look. Take a page out of Buffalo’s book. The ‘USA’ chants we can live with but you’ll never hear us chanting ‘CAN-A-DA’ but you do you. It’s a borderless sport but you’re patriotic, we get it.

No matter the stupid ass reason the US anthem got booed during 4 Nations, that does NOT give us any excuse to boo the Canadian or ANY anthem for that matter. Drunk idiots will be drunk idiots, no matter where you go. They do not represent all Americans, especially Duck fans. We all respect both nations and most of us are singing along with both, I know I am.
I will say game 3 the booing was shameful. I’m glad that shit got mostly shut down by game 4. There were a few I heard at game 4, but I didn’t hear any at game 6. I wish they wouldn’t interrupt Tim during the US anthem to chant USA either. Just wait until the songs are over and applause like a normal human. There are plenty of people chanting USA after the games to get your fix in.
It’s your duty as a patriotic American to aggressively shush and shame anyone who boos the Canadian anthem. It’s absolutely classless to disrespect our neighbors like that, and whataboutism is no excuse.

The whataboutism …smh. Started last year with Canadians booing during a time when they were constantly threatened to be annexed as the 51st state. WTF did you expect them to do? Canadians have been a close ally to the US and then they get treated like this? Turn the tables around and imagine if the new Canadian PM said that to us?
As for game 3 booing, it was noticeably loud and it did die down. Go watch the replay for those in denial. Game 4 had some boos but quickly died down. By game 6, I didn’t hear any in my area.

As a proud patriotic American, I thought it was stupid for some of our fans to boo the Canadian anthem. The USA chant was a better outlet to show your patriotism, although personally I thought it was unnecessary as it isn’t a world competition like the WC or Olympics
