  1. It has to be extremely disheartening for an opponent to think they finally have a moment to breathe with Slavin off the ice only to get a breakaway and have Miller pull something like that

Like, I know we heard Miller had good stickwork before the trade, and seeing him play this year has been nice as he’s very quickly come into his own and found his fit as the season progressed, but doing that? At a certain point you have to be asking yourself how the hell you beat this team.

I thought Miller was supposed to be mistake prone coming into this year and I thought he might be the guy we’re worried is going to blow it in a big game. Definitely hasn’t been the case so far, he has been insane and I appreciate his level of buy in.

Canes have done a 10/10 job identifying the right players for the team in the past year or two.

  3. Was there in person, it looked like a sure fire breakaway in real time. Best play of the night

And to make this even better was this was at the absolutely tail end of a 2 minute shift from him. Just pure hustle and grit. Rod’s conditioning has done wonders for our stamina in games

  5. Flyers had zero hustle on that play, miller 110% that’s everything in the playoffs.

It was hard properly communicating to my non-hockey wife just how impressive it was that he not only executed an amazing poke check while diving forward, but adding that he managed to do it absolutely spotless clean is just…🤌
