This year's team has definitely progressed. Last year's Habs would have been done already. Still need a killer instinct player to finish it off. Has to be a forward, IMHO. We'll see if one exists on the current roster. Would like it to be Slaf.

They can send Wifi at forward for a shift or two when they need energy, and can’t afford him to cause a turnover and have Dobson play Xhekaj’s D shift for more time
TB hates the Habs fans, we probably get under their skin. They also can't admit MTL is a good team, they can't, their bloated ego gets in the way.
Tampa has that killer instinct they put the pressure on the Canadiens and the top line cannot handle the pressure and don’t rise above it. Montreal does not have that killer instinct their players don’t have that temperament. I hope Montreal wins tonight somehow passing around the fringe has not worked. I need to get guys crash on that stand in front of the net go to the net want it more than Tampa you gotta want it more than Tampa that’s how much I will win. Hope they surprise me, but I think Tampa wants it more and will win the game tonight.

Gallagher scored going to the net and scored on a rebound. I was watching the game and was in awe how many times they missed the net and the puck goes back to their zone

Montreal except for one or two players do not have the junkyard dog in them to go to the net to play hard and tough. Who do you blame Hughes for not drafting them Hughes for drafting guys like Gooley Reinbacher it just don’t have the toughness in them to blame Martin in St. Louis for not getting them to go to the net. How many times you see their power-play passing around the fringe, how’s that working out? How many goals did they score in the last game? None how bad do these guys wanna win? You got tough the lightning you gotta get players in front of the net. I have to be willing to pay the price if they lose one good thing that will come, but at least you and Gordon will see the type of players I have does not work. They need to bring some big tough players in pre-agent or trades or draft picks coming up.
I agree about Dobes, he’s been so solid nothing but legitimate goals have gotten by him. I think he’s locked in and I believe he’s a super star goalie in the makings. I have not been excited about a goalie in years, I live in Colorado my whole family is Avalanche fans but I cannot lie I am secretly rooting for Montreal to win it all this year. I do believe we will see a Montreal/Colorado Stanley cup and may the best team win.
Dobson has been out for 3 weeks now
No fear, no doubt! In the immortal words of Douglas Adams, "Do Not Panic". All the talk of what the top players 'could, would or should' do is fine, but there's 2 teams out there. I don't see TBL's top guys dominating. Be ready for 'same old, same old'. We're consistently winning the 5v5 battle, I expect no different tonight. Habs win in reg 3-1. GO HABS GO!

If Dobson can drive the puck, i would insert him on PP1 with a clear assignment to Anderson/Slaf to be IN the blue paint. This would force TB to adjust their PK strategy in the middle of a game 7 because they would have to respect Dobson taking shots from the middle.
Could tonight's game be a blow out? Hopefully for us MTL.

The keys to the game – 1 – skate with stick down to eliminate high sticking penalties. 2 – no too many men on ice penalties. 3 – no flipping puck over the glass for a penalty. 3 – no unnecessary puck freezes by Dobes (fewer faceoffs in own zone, the better. 4 – play the man. not the puck, during TB long flips. 5 – don't get hosed by the refs.
I'm an old Die Hard Habs fan who only missed two games all year. I know we can win this… either way i'm ver happy about the team's progress this year. The future looks bright. Cheers boys from Thailand.
When you guys say you think the Habs have "another gear" is that to say that we've never seen this Habs team play their best before? And you think that's possible or likely tonight?
I find it interesting that Marco called TBL in 7 but ended with the video calling game 7 a 3-2 Habs win….finally, finally got him on the 'right side' of history…GO HABS GO!
