I only got back into the NHL around 2015 or 2016, and man, Marty makes Therrien, Julien, and Ducharme all look so… *awful.* I know that Julien was a good coach overall, but Marty’s got something that none of them had – real charisma, and he’s equal parts « one of the boys » and the team’s adoptive dad. You can just tell how much he loves the guys, and how much they love and respect him back. This man! What a fucking leader!
