    Its because we are taking good shot. Sure you can shot 20 time right on the center of the goal, but Vasilevsky is not going to get out of the way. If you shot 20 time in the corner, and miss the net 15 time and hit 3 post, its going to record 2 shots, but you had much better chance at scoring.

    Comme quoi la perfomance d’un gardien peut faire une immense différence. Deux murs dans un cas et deux passoires dans l’autre et tu as 13 buts de plus.

    I watch a fair bit of hockey and still don’t understand the SOG stats. For instance Montreal did get a shot in the second period that Vasilevsky made a glove save on, Cuthbert even mentioned it. Then in the third period with 40 secs to go the Montreal total, which had been at 10 SOG for some time, goes down to nine. Then Hagel stops Slafkovsky with 30 secs to go and it still stays at nine?

  6. I also saw with my own eyes Vasi making saves that didnt register as shots so I just don’t think those numbers represented the game in its intensity

    Just need one more goal than the other team. Shots are shots.
