From Lindy’s comment I’m not sure he could play but I give Carrick props for trying to get out there

  2. Man this would be massive. They’ll likely take it slow but if he can be available at the tail end of this series when many expect it to go to 6/7 games that’s huge. Look how much Ostlund changed the bruins series

If he can’t go, how bout we just make him the power play coach so he can be on the bench?

What a warrior. Even if he can’t make it, the drive to even try is awesome. Really hope they consider bringing him back next season.

The question is can he play playoff hockey for ~10 mins a night because that’s what Kozak is playing right now. There’s no doubt that he is our best faceoff guy but he would need to fill those minutes or risk putting more stress on the forward group.

But wait, the click bait articles said the Sabres were getting DEVASTATING injury news about Carrick for round two!

    >May 4 – Carrick (left arm) could practice Tuesday

    >Forward Sam Carrick, initially expected to miss Round 2 versus Montreal with his left arm injury, has progressed in his recovery and could be back on the ice shortly.

    >“(He’s) going to see our doctors today and thinks he’s further along than maybe I portrayed yesterday,” coach Lindy Ruff said. “So, with good news, he could join our team back in practice tomorrow, which is great news. That would put him a little bit ahead of schedule.”

    >Carrick hasn’t played or practiced with the team since getting injured in a March 31 fight against the Islanders. In 13 games with Buffalo, the deadline acquisition scored five goals and won 57.3 percent of his faceoffs.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are a whole new season.

I respect Lindy for not playing guys who aren’t 100% unlike Boston, who clearly had at least six players on the ice who were on the verge of death but bravely hiding their injuries 😜

Paul Hamilton made it sound like Carrick could play if he is cleared.
