It didn't cross my mind that we could potentially pick 3rd and was confused at how it was possible. If New Jersey wins the first lottery, they would jump from #12 to #2 (can only jump 10 spots) and Vancouver would secure the 1st overall. If we win second lottery, then we'd jump from #9 to #3 since the top 2 picks would be locked in.
How could the Sharks end up picking 3rd? I just don't get how that's possible !

I can’t believe that after how badly we tanked last year, and all the goals that Agent Georgiev let past him, that the Islanders still jumped us to get Schaefer. Still have super high hopes for Misa, but pairing Schaefer with Mack would have been unreal.

I like how many defencemen there are at the top of this draft, with some of them being right handed, since that's the position the Sharks' prospect pool needs the most. They might even trade up a few spots like they did with Dickinson
