Better luck next season we should be better with more practice. Maybe.
Arvi going down was a death blow for the series.
Need a 1st rate defenseman who can handle a playoff team's forecheck and not lose the puck in the D end.
Trade for Elias pettersson or Robert Thomas for 1C and also go after Malkin to play on the second line with Zacha and try to sign rasmus andersson or Rasmus Ristolainen for rd
The veterans gave it their all this season and playoffs, which means improvement has to come from free agents and recent draft picks. The simple fact of the matter is the Bruins have a serious lack of NHL talent, especially on defense. Strengthen the d-corps and buildout from there over these next two seasons. Thanks to injuries Hampus has become a border-line player. Peeke is way too slow. Jokiharju is always in the wrong place. Lohrei is a human giveaway who I have yet to see deliver one decent body check. Aspirot appears as if he can become a legit third-pair man. Zadorov is a human penalty maker and needs to move on, and his toughness can be replaced. McAvoy is the real deal, though no superstar. The rest of the league knows he is Boston's only legit d-man so they beat the crap out of him every game. At the rate he is being abused he will have to retire before the end of next season.
God awful FA class, they have to use the stockpile of 1s to find a top 4 D and top 6 C then I think you can fill in with younger faster guys to balance out the roster more than this year’s
Always defending Charlie. Two goals in game six were because he chose to chase the puck carrier leaving the goal scorer alone in front of the net. It's been a theme of his career. But all we hear about is some meaningless suspension and rebounding from injury. I'd love it if he could fix that part of the game, but as long as they're all stroking his ego, I feel we are screwed until he's replaced.
Please stop defending McAvoy. His actions earlier in the game created the karma that found him a t the end. He slew footed Alex Tuch earlier in the game, he pitch forked Dahlin as the empty net goal was being scored. He also drove Josh Doan head first into the boards on the Benson Goal. He’s a dirty hockey player and he lost his head. He should be suspended a minimum of ten games. Bensen’s play was questionable at best. He was playing to the final horn unlike the Bruins who pretty much quit after the third goal.
The delusion from bruins media and fans is amazing. They actually thought the bruins would win the series. The same apparent problems in season were magnified in the playoffs. Did they think those problems would go away? Did they think the number 1 team in their division wouldn't be able to expose their problems? Did they think their perceived advantage of playoff experience would carry them, but those same guys weren't worthy of being called captain during the season?
Oh please! Mcavoy was the dirtiest player in the series. He slew footed Tage Thompson, arm barred a grounded dahlin, kneed beck, forearmed doan in the face. He played terribly too
Charlie is so overrated it's not even funny. Bury lohrei in the minors till he learns to play the position he is put out there to play. Maybe change him back to a forward which he originally was until some career wrecker for having him switch positions. I do not understand this franchises unhealthy fetish with this guy a "defenseman" who can't play defense
Love how no one mentions Charlie slew footing Tage and body slamming Dahlin after the game 6 ENG lol. He knew payback was coming and Benny delivered it. Enjoy your offseason and upcoming Charlie suspension Boston cheers
