The fact that this will be a longer suspension than Gudas (to be clear, I'm not a leaf fan, I truly couldn't care less about matthews) is absolutely fucking crazy to me. Benson should be getting a game or 2 for a dangerous slew foot, McAvoy should be getting a game (at most) for the slash. If that, it happens all time, he didn't target the head or anything, and he doesn't have a history like Gudas does.

McAvoy will also finish his suspension at the beginning of next season. Makes up for earlier in the game when he ran Doans face into the glass from behind for no reason. He’s a cheap player. No debate. Plenty of videos to prove that. He just can’t handle it when it happens to him
