I didn't think that was icing. Eichel got a burst of speed and might have been able to make it past the defender, and the defender got in his path.
Everything about that good was pretty, though. The quick outlet pass off of the rebound, Eichel forcing a weak play up the boards where he has Dorofeyev supporting him, and that pass.

Everyone needs to look at hybrid icing which is what the NHL uses. Eichel knows he just has to beat the defender to the faceoff dot, which he does and then he lets off after it’s waived off. Smart move by Eichel

I’ve officiate high level hockey and have for years . Hybrid icing is to the hash mark ! Slow it down people and pause it when the golden knights player touches the hash mark . He is clearly out in front . We as officials don’t have to be liked, we just have to be right 😊 lol

The NHL needs to get its act together about what plays are reviewed. If it were an offside, they would have micro measured it forever.
