It was clearly icing. Quennville had every right to lose his mind.
But the bigger issue is more important. The fact is, almost all the talk through the playoffs this year has been about the officiating. Not about gameplay.
There's something seriously wrong with the game when the skill and talent of the players is overshadowed by poor quality officiating.
(Edited to correct an error)
I get why Q almost broke Sennecka’s back now 😂😂
Yes Maddie’s DUMB team got screwed and that’s good😂
Welcome to a Gary BETmans National Sportsbetting league
Vegas fan here. 200% icing. Ducks need to play to the whistle there though
Its little mistakes that are the turning points in a game with this much parity. Hopefully the Ducks (especially LaCombe in this game) learn from their mistakes, and coach Q can help them come up with ways to avoid those mistakes in the next game.
Dont forget: The Ducks lost game one to Edmonton on a few little mistakes too. Then they won in 6.
It's easy to say icing when you have replays and an overhead camera view. But from the linesman's POV, Eichel beats him to the hashmarks. I say this as someone who is cheering for the ducks in this series.
I'm in agreement, it was supposed to be icing. However, and I'll admit it you gotta play to the whistle
It was such an obvious icing call it nearly warrants an investigation. Are we just supposed to pretend Lacombe has to run into the boards at 25+ mph despite the fact the rule was specifically changed for player safety. Nuts and bolts, we got screwed for Bettman’s pets.
Starting to look like WWE as well when the drama of a hit (fakes out ref) becomes and becomes a penalty. Worst called non icing ever. Both games yesterday was determined by the officials. Considering not watching. I'm not a fan of any of these teams just want it to be fair
This icing Ref drama is certainly a pressing topic for many. But may I also point to something that didn’t help the Ducks?
Going 0 for 4 on the Power Play. When this team had a 50% PP success rate against Edmonton.
Also, the Wide Open Net that was missed. That doesn’t help matters either.
It was a terrible no call
