  1. Should have used Gally in the third period. He probably didn't play because he was slightly injured…who knows? He has playoff experience and he's a leader. Just like Danault btw. I believe he could have been useful on the PP. But, I don't want to talk like the Monday Morning Quarterback. It's done, it's done. We have beaten the TBL in Florida just recently and we can do it again.
4 of those games have gone in O/T. They have all been one goal games. I believe that if Demidov continues to shoot like that, he will score in the next game. Same goes for Caufield. The best weapon we have is Lane. He created so many opportunities tonight and I'm confident it will come to fruition in game 7.

  2. As much as I hate to say it, but Veleno should come in for Gally. Offer a different dynamic on that 4th line.

As far as Dobson coming back. I was hoping he would be good to go for game 6. But even if he is 80%….the team needs him for a game 7. But then who do you take out? Carrier didn't look bad this game, but 1st game he has looked decent. But someone has to come out, and my choice would be Carrier.

That's the only 2 changes I would make. Anderson crashing and banging on that top line looked good, but didn't last long before he was back down on the 4th line.

  3. Suzuki and Caulfield BETTER man up next game, or they're gonna be looking like a bunch of jokes! Matthews and Marner 2.0

  4. Respect to you, I love the way you see the game as a lighting fan. Accountability and not straight to crying about refs, mindsets like urs standout like gold in a fan base of crybabies

  5. This is a huge growing experience for all the young guys for the Habs regardless of the outcome…Tampa could go all the way and that would mean we faced the toughest team head on…..I’m proud to call myself a Habs fan and thanks for your retrospective look Drew thats helps us all slow down a breath a little 😉

  6. Go to the net. Get the dirty goals. They need to simplify for game seven. Vas was great tonight… Doby has been great the whole series. No one took Doby to school btw. This process has to teach them that sometimes you need to go for the heavy goals in front of the net. Too many one and dones in Tampa's end tonight…

  7. As a Bolts fan, this series has been insane. Regardless of who wins or loses, it’s a crime one of these teams will be a first round exit.

  8. Both goalies played their heart out. One of the most exciting games of these playoffs. I only wish we were celebrating Tampa's elimination

  9. Its refreshing to see someone with a fair take without crying. 2 Great teams it can go either way. Habs fans should be proud of their team. See yall in game 7 and either way good games, great hockey.

  10. Fantastic game. Incredible goaltending at both ends. Both teams are evenly matched. Great entertainment. Go Habs Go in 7

  11. Habs had no one parked in front of the net, st louis switched lines too much not letting them mesh. If you won last game why make changes?! St louis should have called a time out to settle boys down. Refs terrible too demi should of had a penalty shot not penalized!!

  12. Blame Eric Angels, he said you never know maybe he shuts them down 1-0 and he does lol. I blame him lol. That said, it's proof the bell center doesn't "Scare teams away" It does nothing but look and sound cool. They loss 2 out of 3 at home… Ole oley oley's need to stop, it jynxes them in the end, only at the end of the game when they are winning big or the match is near over. I never seen this other then this year, usually it's Gohabsgo.

  13. Win or lose you can't say that we wouldn't great we had a good year if we lose we'll have a battery here if we can win the game 7 go Montreal go

  14. We have to shoot high on him, much like Texier did when he scored the winner in game 5 and duplicated it in game 6, only to hit the post.

More importantly, Cole Caufield needs to get away from the perimeter because he apparently won’t score out there. Gotta move inside at some time.

I agree, not winning it for your fans hurts. I’m not sure if our boys can withstand the adrenaline and passion that I’m sure TBay will come out with.

  15. I wonder if the pressure of a home game is a major stressor for this young team. They do seem to play better on the road.

  16. Vasilevskiy is a good goalie, no one denies that but we need traffic in front and create chaos in order to score. Can the habs elevate their shots just a bit? Most of their shots on net were ice level directly at the goalie's pads. Huge opportunity slipped away last night.

  17. Full credit Vasilevski…he won the game for TB. With that said, I totally agree w/DD that the Habs looked scared…afraid to make a mistake, making quick decisions when they had time to make a (better?) play, so many missed opportunities (credit Vas again but we could have been better). I completely disagree w/the limited use of Gally by MSL…if we needed net front presence and a garbage goal, this was the game to do it on a hot Vas. We didn't make it difficult for Vas at all! Sure there were great high scoring chances but no one blocking Vas' view, trying to disturb him, trying to rattle him in any way. And this D core needs to stop allowing the opposition to get better positioning on them…it's been the huge weakness of this D-core (playing the puck and puck watching rather than tie up the man or tying up sticks or blocking them out)…and as much as I like Suzuki being more physical and looking more involved in the play…not sure what is going on w/Caufield? Is he in his head? Is he injured? And Slaf has not been himself since the hit. I've been super impressed w/how this team plays for one another, their resiliency and MSL's calm demeanour with the attitude of, hey, forget the past, learn, move forward, but I won't lie, Game 7 is a huge worry. The core needs to trust their skills, put it all out there bc there is no tomorrow…play smart, remain focused, play for one another, just go out and win! Go Habs Go!

  18. Have to agree with you Drew. A hard loss to take in a way but probably the most entertaining/ stressful game I've watched in a long time. And what about Dobes? A 24 year old performing the way he has in his first playoff series ! The fact that our top line has gone ice cold has been a real disappointment and the constant passing back and forth with few if any shots on the powerplay is getting tired. But like I said at the start of the season ; I'd be happy with some meaningful progress and the team has done that. So fingers crossed gor Sunday night. GHG !

  19. start crashing the net and more screens. he can't stop what he can't see. maybe habs only hope.

  20. Last time we lost 1-0 in the Playoffs was game five of the 2021 Stanley cup final. We all know who was in net back then to shut out the Habs.
6 games so far. 3 wins on each sides. All 1 goal wins. No win streak. 4 OTs. 14-14 total score. This has to ben the tightest best of seven series in NHL's history. Both teams 106 pts regular seasons. Par for the course it goes to game 7. 1st game 7 between the 2 teams. Go Habs go!! 🟦⬜🟥

  21. Bolts fan here but you guys remind me of the bolts 5-7 years ago, we still love Marty here and he's done y'all great!! May the best team win..
