I think this is a possibility, but still need some things for happen. I think they can get Mathews cheaper if Toronto decides to tear it down and build around McKenna (trade Nylander and others too). Then the 2027 Toronto pick could be top 5- maybe closer. Probably also need Mathews to force himself to Philly (maybe this playoff run convinces him of that)

Matthews won’t want to come to Philly. Why should he? He don’t want to play with another lousy team like the flyers. Why just to lose like he has been losing on a team like in Toronto?even if they offered up Denver the barking yorkie! And porter choking on a bone as a trade!
There's no guarantee that the Leafs take McKenna – but i would assume the price for Matthews would be: a first round pick; our best prospect; a young top 6 forward and maybe a second first round pick in a different draft year!

TK – York – Luchanko – Barkey & a 1st & a 2nd 👍🏽 .. he’s a 40+ goal scorer great at faceoffs. Actually an amazing 2 way player even willing to block shots… he gets hate from so many casuals just based of leaf fans being ungrateful. He needs a change of scenery. I do this trade all day
I really hope Mckenna stays an extra year in college and leafs fall on their face again… I’m so frustrated with the Flyers not understanding why tanking is important to rebuilding Toronto just proved it again. Flyers should move on from coots , TK, York, Risto and other players get picks for 2027 – 2028 and sign big names in 2028 free agency. This is still a rebuilding team. Bonk and Jiricek need to play and Michkov needs ice time.

2 firsts 2 seconds 2 thirds… hathaway and juulsen. Im not giving up a single roster player or anything above our 7th d or 4th line. Not luchanko, not michkov, and certainly not martone. Let them have the picks. If they want good players let them pick them. Even 2 firsts, 3 seconds, and 3 thirds and no other players. Not even emil andrae, bonk and luchanko havent played yet, would be a shame if we dealt them and they blossomed and then matthews crumpled like an old tin can. 6 top 3 round draft picks or 8 should get it done, if not, no deal. Id be willing to add ersson or kolosov to make room for bjarnasson or zavragin. Sam ended the year well and his value could be an all time high and he will never be our starter. Let a kid play back up and learn the league playing the weaker teams. I like the idea of auston matthews coming here, but not for any of our top prospects. Juulsen ersson hathaway and 2 firsts and 2 seconds would be enough
