This is not the canes last/best chance to win it all…. They have everyone locked up and they’re young as hell… I think canes are opening their window to be the Lightning/Panthers of the past few years… canes are here to stay.
Just tuning in for my daily Avs disrespect and Eastern Conference glazing. Never change SDPN
9:20 THANK YOU! both of their opponents were hot coming in, playing much better than 98 points would suggest. Give Carolina some credit
Thanks for the canes content!
Can the Canes get past the 3rd round is the real question.
Before the playoffs started, All I heard about is how Ottawa was a nightmare match up and were going to cause all sorts of problems for the Canes and cause an upset. Now that the Canes swept them and about to sweep Philly the narrative has changed to who have they played that's good. Can only imagine what the narrative will be next round.
Ottawa series was hands down the most physical series I have seen in a very long time.
Top seed EARNS the easiest path.
they got to play the sens and the flyers. lets chill a bit lmao..
I'm a longtime Flyers fan and I'll say the Taylor Hall hit on Sanheim was only dirty in the sense that Sanheim was already covered by another Canes player when he decided to come in and finish his check, but I believe Hall tried his best to pull back after he committed to the hit even putting his arms up to the glass to lessen the impact on Sanheim who was in a prone position bent down in a second effort to clear the puck.
Canes aren’t remotely dirty. Sens set the tone, Carolina finished it. Carolina is not a hitting team, they are a high pressure “make you quit” team
It’s not controversial to say the Canes played against a 98 point team, that’s the ENTIRE point of being the 1 seed
Florida did bully the Canes a bit, but the main issue with them is first, they were just damned good, and had Barkov, Tkachuk, Reinhart, and then later Marchand and those guys are all better than anyone on the Canes at the BIG goal. The depth scorers for the Canes just could not get "the big goal." Another thing was hot goalies and puck luck…Florida had all that versus the Canes.
It's scary that the Canes went 6-0 without Svechnikov scoring a goal. He got one last game and it was a blowout. This team may actually get to the Eastern final undefeated.
If Stankoven, Jarvis, Ehlers, and Svechnikov are firing on all cylinders, I can't see even the Avalanche beating them because Freddy has been lights out for the Canes while Colorado's goaltending has been average at best. The east was a much tougher conference than the west this year, so Carolina being undefeated is even more impressive than Colprado being undefeated. The Kings wouldn't have even come close to making the playoffs in the east.
2006 Buffalo v Carolina in ECF…….Buffalo coach? Lindy Ruff. Carolina captain? Rod B. It's year 20. That's likely to happen…..and Buffalo is for real.
The Hall hit that was called for boarding was not a dirty hit in the slightest. He didn’t finish the hit (he peeled up and caught himself on the glass) and was clearly going shoulder to shoulder until Sanheim started falling and then decided to turn his face to the boards. It was unfortunate, but hits can be unfortunate without someone being to blame.
Y’all keep talking out both sides of your mouth. The Canes are the most dominate team in the East all season, yet y’all said oh they’ve never faced a team like Ottawa. They beat Ottawa, ahh Ottawa was the 8 seed they should beat them. They up three on the Flyers, also considered easy and what they are supposed to be doing. So which one is it? That said as a Canes fan none of this matters unless they close out the Flyers and beat whoever in the ECF. 🤷🏾♀️
As a Canes fan all I can think about is how bad the Ottawa and Philly are, I keep seeing people talking about how great the Canes are doing and all I can think is We haven't played anyone yet!!!!!
Canes are going to get sweeped by the avs in the final.
aren't you the same guys that chose Ottawa over Carolina saying how good Ottawa was? lol
This years team is a lot different than past years. Andersen isn’t injured and playing great. We picked up Miller and Ehlers plus 7 of the forwards are 20+ goal scorers. Nikishin has had a full year now to understand the system and our second line is dynamite at finding the back of the net. This team reminds me of the 06 cup team.
Everyone else has a tough road and Carolina has Schrodinger's opponent. Tough enough on paper for experts to pick against the Canes but then, once dominated, weak overall and sub 100 point regular season team. I'm not saying they will, but if they end up 2-0 in the ECF, we'll have to hear about how Buffalo and Montreal ran out of gas due to how hard it was to get to the ECF rather than how crazy good the Canes have been all year long.
Just keep winning Canes, the flowers will come.
Easiest path to the Cup of all time
Carolina hopes not to meet Montreal in the semi finals. They are 0-3 against them this year, allowing 15 goals.
Same people that picked sens over the canes saying the canes first two rounds are easy
