Wow carolina was so good in the entire series. The canes always seem to make a long run every year but just can't get over the hump but this year the canes r going to be an incredibly tough out

offseason to compete against that type of team. They had a good year
despite getting swept by a really good hockey team.
My prediction is coming true. Carolina, Buffalo, Anaheim, and Colorado will play in the semifinals.

Hurricanes are just on a roll with a very hot goalie. Flyers can't blame themselves too much. Philly took some pretty big steps in improving this season and can definitely build on this. It'll hurt for a bit but it should also make the Flyers hungrier going into next season. Congrats to the 'Canes, who might have to wait a bit for their next opponent.

There was never any reason to believe the Flyers would get any further. They beat the Pens and Crosby but had to go 6 to do it. That alone meant the Canes would finish them off with ease. Bye bye flyes!!

Even though the Flyers got swept, you gotta give them credit where it's due, they punched above what they expected and actually put up a decent fight (2 OT games) despite the sweep. I truly believe they'll be back. I'm just happy we have hope again in our hockey team

Drysdale has so much talent and potential but damn he had a brutal series.
There should a new rule when a team gets swept in the playoffs that every player and the coachs should have to pay $1000 each and the winning team gets to pick a charity of choice from losing teams state.
I mean the only reason the Flyers made it to the second round is because they were gifted the easiest match up in the division. Against any other team they would've lost.
If Carolina gets swept in the conference final again I will become convinced that they are cursed.
