Why do I get the sense this is getting talked about as much as it is because admittedly, the fanbase is kinda crazy obsessive? Like, idk. Would this be as big a story if Michkov and Tocchet were in like, idk, Columbus or something? I doubt it

I’ve seen a number of posts and comments here about Elliott’s Friedman’s recent thoughts on MM, and however respected he may be it really feels like an outside interloper muck raking because he knows it’s a hot button issue on a newly emergent team that will get attention in a big media market. What actual insight is this providing to an issue that is covered ad nauseam…every…single…day in the Flyer world? As the big “insider” of the league isn’t he supposed to be telling us the things we don’t already know instead of unhelpful things like “giving up on Michkov = bad?”
