Bill Guerin being a finalist just shows you how much glue the voters are sniffing. No need for pointless award given out by those « experts ».
Edm fans prob getting mad their GM didn’t get nomination for signing mcdavid to a team friendly deal LOL
I’m a little Surprised Dubas wasn’t nominated. He made some good moves and no one expected the Pens to make the playoffs.
The Jarry Trade alone should have won him the award.
Conroy will get his props soon enough.
GM and coach of the year are just « is your team good and did they make the playoffs » awards
Obviously the avs GM deserves to win (and will win), but not putting conny up for finalist is crazy. We got fucking hauls from two different desperate teams, and still got a great return for naz at the last minute at the deadline. All while still keeping our team competitive (much to the frustration of most people in this sub lol, but it’s still a good thing in the long run imo) and keeping a strong young core to build around in the coming seasons. A+ for conny this year, even if the award doesn’t acknowledge it.
Why on earth would Conroy be nominated. The team hasn’t done anything. He did well to get assets, now we need to see what he does with said assets.
