He was so talented as a flyer as well, so i can’t hate him what so ever. Hes crushing it.

The one thing that I always loved about hockey. This tradition after all the emotions and physicality. It takes a sense of humility on either side as well

Rob’s always been a stellar guy and was one hell of a player in his time.

He was also a flyer at one point.

Remind me of Key and Peel, Obama handshake sketch

  7. JynxYouOweMeASoda

Love that he told Toc to take a minute. Didn’t end how we wanted it but this season was probably as much juice as we could wring out of this squad.

That soul piercing eye contact with the complements.

Rods a good dude. Came to my school as a kid and its a day I’ll never forget. Loved him as a Flyer. Glad for his success, hope he’s coaching the orange and black one day

Rod the fuckin bod. Hope the Canes get it done

Small revenge on the team that traded him to Carolina. He won a Cup and the Flyers haven’t since the trade.

Love this. That’s what sports are about. Compete on the ice, but show respect off the ice.

I hope that dickweed Paul Maurice saw this

  14. Double_Dime

Rod could still suit em up and be a good 4th liner for any team huh?

  15. Ok_Bag3170

Made the citizens and fans of East Lansing proud as hell

  16. neuralrunes

I love how he took that little extra time with Martone. I can only imagine what it meant to the kid. He’s a good one. Both of em.

  17. Visible_Neck8323

Love that man. What he’s done for this city and organization cannot be overstated. No way Canes are still here if he’s not apart of it.

  18. radiate_reflect

Lifelong Ranger fan—always liked and respected Rod.

Met him way back in ‘94. Just as friendly and solid a regular nice guy as you get from this clip.

    Good job, man.

Responding to a go green with a yeah is something my wife would do. Unacceptable Brindy /s

  20. 54fighting

Don’t know how many times I watched his 5/3/19 locker room “Care” speech. It gets me every time.

  21. Burnsey has played with Rod as a player, for him as his coach, and against him as a coach. Avs Canes final would be epic for reasons.

  22. ComfortableBedroom76

Love him and Tocc with the quick hang there. Would love to spend an afternoon with both of them listening to old stories. Love both of them although Rod is the better coach by a bit
