as a canes fan, im very hopeful that we can win game 7, but no promises. however I do think were losing to Tampa. they are too well rested and were in a game 7. I think the Tampa series will go 5 if the Rangers win, 6 or maybe 7 if the Canes win.
my canes better start winning on the road if they want a shot against Tampa. a perfect home record is great, but you can't take that risk against probably the team favorited to win the cup and have a 3 peat. if they play like they did in the 2nd period of this game it could be better, but they need to stay out of the box.

So many scoring chances. Each team could have put up 8 goals with all these opportunities. Carolina is going to be difficult to beat on their home ice. They seem to skate circles around opponents at home on that rink.

Okay, time for facts 'n stats – Reg. season, Canes were 1-1-1 against Tampa (two OT) and 1-1 vs Avs (won 2- 0 then lost 7- 4) …mean anything? Okay, maybe not but… NY was 3 -0 vs Lightening (outscored them 10 – 4) and 0 -2 vs Avs (outscored 11 – 5), finally, Tampa hasn't beat Avs 0 -2 (outscored 7 – 5, one goal wins.) Likely, Tampa and Avs would be a great series – Avs would be favorite with high altitude home ice adv. Hey, since my Blue Ballers lost, what the hell else can I do but watch more hockey!

The Rangers are the youngest overall team in the league and they’ve beaten some very good veteran teams this postseason. I think the Rangers will 100% win a cup in the next 3-4 years all they need is more experience and for the chemistry to continue developing.
