  1. I know one thing for sure, Sunny Mehta is going to start swinging the bat, I wouldn't be surprised if both Hamilton and Nemec go (one of them HAS to go for cap reasons). Chicago should throw all their picks at Columbus, for Werenski… if they don't make a real move… Bedard starts wishing away.

  2. Frondell,Nazar,Kantserov,Moore,Bertuzii,
Are not help they need to acquire all stars immediately or he’s going to Vancouver with celebrini

  3. Hawks have to many very young D-Man Owen power to sj for their 1st pick.
Buffalo needs to sign Benson, tuch etc
John Carlson & Trouba are options but Carlson ils dangerous voir 3 Yeats at 9 M $
    Send dach out of Montréal

  4. "Until Bedard becomes Bedard on his own, he wont be getting help. Its up to Conner now to become conner bedard. Until then, I wont trade my toys to get him help"
    Paraphrasing kyle davidson

  5. Its kinda crazy bad that chicago has 11 1st round picks and have only picked one impact player out of that. The scouting/decision making has been nearly fkn awful

  6. Seems like the “S” on this podcast is so frustrated the Sharks stole Bedards help 2 years in a row (Celebrini and Misa). This year Sharks are going for the STRIKE OUT” 3 years in a row. Try again next year Hawks. You might get lucky.

  7. People forget before Bedard got hurt the Blackhawks were in the Wild Card spot and in front of San Jose… after Bedard got hurt the team kind of just gave up. Then pieces were moved at the deadline.

  8. I love how something any corporate executive would say ( "yeah, I'll listen to offers")

Has become "they're definitely selling it" and it's basically by 1 person and that story is repeated till it becomes the narrative.

  9. I just don't see why the Sharks would not take their lottery luck and pick Stenberg. I mean look at what a player he is already (he was great at the Worlds by the way). You don't give up on that easily. They still have enough assets to then make a hockey trade to boost their blueline.

  10. I want to trade the first pick for Bedard if he's available and then trade Knies for the 4th pick

So Toronto would have Connor Bedard and Chase or another great D prospect 🙂

  11. One of the things SJ did that Chicago did not, was also attract and obtain impactful veteran players. Some where cap dumps who they used as veteran presence but some like Toffoli are still good players who give you the point production needed in a rebuild and as they come out of the rebuild they become valuable support or depth players.

A trade scenario for a Chicago to look at is:

    To Chicago
    Jake DeBrusk
    Teddy Blueger(signing right)
    Nils Höglander
    Marcus Pettersson

    To Vancouver
    4th Overall
    Ryan Ellis contract

  12. Ask AM & WN to lift their NTC .

SJ trades MM/2nd to TM for AM , Then the Leafs draft Ivar Stenberg

Chi trades FN/2nd to TM for WN , Then the Leafs draft Carson Carels , he’s only 17 but stands 6ft2 / 194 and can put up the points.

I feel it’s better to trade AM & WN now that they are still in their prime and get a decent return while they can. This draft looks great , it would be wise to rebuild with youth and have draft capital and salary for the future. Leafs won’t have $$$ or many picks with AM and WN .

As for MR ,JW and JT trade for picks and future considerations.

These moves could help clean up the mess left by Dubas and Treliving.

  13. Toronto needs a no. 1 defensemen. Chicago needs a top line winger.

If Chicago is willing to package their 4th overall pick + a young roster talent, I see a trade happening. 4th overall is not enough to get it done. To trade a top winger talent for an asset years away and risk (no guarantee prospect turns out to hit their upside, especially for a D) isn’t a reasonable trade for Toronto or any team. It has to be a multi-piece package. Knies has outperformed and has a higher upside than some recent LW first overall picks… so people who think more than 4th “isn’t fair” don’t understand trade value. Knies is a real NHL player, 4th overall is magic beans years away from the NHL in comparison.

If Chicago deems that too expensive… guess what? Knies is a premium asset. Trading him for fourth overall hurts Toronto because they are getting “nothing” this year from fourth overall. Losing an entire top player for nothing in return for a season or more while the prospect develops. GMs don’t want to waste years. It is not a fair or equitable transaction to give up Knies for a long term project who may be two years away.

So the only way I see this trade happening is for Chicago to cough up a player asset plus fourth overall bare minimum.

  14. I would trade nylander to chicago for their 1st round pick this year leshunov RHD ….use that pic for stenburg …. Cowan stolarz carlo to philly for porter martone …. reilly woll mccabe domi to san jose for their 1st this year … free agency jason robertson raddysh lauzon laughton stenlund brobovsky ….

    Mackenna mathews martone

    Knies stenburg j rob

    N rob laughton joshua

    Lorentz tavares stenlund

    Groux

    Lauzon tanev

    Raddysh leshunov

    Oel danford

    Benoit

    Brobovsky
    Hildeby
    Aktiamov

  15. The Sharks should take the best player available and continue to lay a foundation skill, speed, and talent. If Stenberg is on the board, take him. Chicago should move up to 2nd to get Stenberg for the 4th pick and 2 2nd round picks in 27 and 28. That leaves the Sharks ready to take the best D available, and the Hawks have Frondell and Stenberg as the second line behind Bedard. 🦫🏟26🏒🐾!

  16. San Jose will have plenty of takers for #2, but it just makes TOO much sense for both teams for San Jose to trade it to Chicago for the #4 and a second round pick. The Sharks get a nice sweetener to move down and still get the best fit for them and guy they should take at 2–Reid.

  17. If the Hawks keep Debrincat and Hagel the aren't bad enough to get Bedard. And AD wasn't going to resign as a UFA when the Hawks are rebuilding in the mushy middle.

  18. If teams could still retain money on a player that they acquire and trade them. then I’d say Vancouver take Nurse retain 4 mil on the contract then trade him to San Jose for the second overall pick I think everyone would win in that situation.

  19. Would the 4th overall pick and Levshunov be worth Matthew Knies? Would leafs fans make that trade

  20. You are talking about Kirby Dach? They guy made of glass and kind of sucks? I think the Blackhawks are happy having Nazar instead of Kirby Dach. Also the Blackhawks are not in a position to draft Connor Bedard if they keep Hagel and DeBrincat. OMG.
