  1. What started off as a low scoring affair transformed to a wild high scoring finish. Puck management and defensive complacency continues to be an issue. After Toews scored to make it 5-1, the Avs took the foot off the gas on playing two way hockey. It was a sloppy second half of the third period for the Avs. It should have never been this close. However, there was something positive that came out of this game. Few weeks ago, Coach Bednar publicly called out the bottom six to play better offensively. Ever since he issued that challenge, they have been playing more aggressively on both ends and it is starting to pay dividends. Compher is starting to gain confidence as he scored his second goal in the last 5 games. Mackinnon continues be red hot as he has now scored 9 goals in his last 10 games. On the flip side, Rantanen's goal scoring slump extends to 8 games. Hopefully, he will find his touch against New Jersey tomorrow. In the last 5 games, the Devil have been averaging 3.6 goals per game. The Avs will have to either match their firepower or shut them down defensively. Personally, they should be able to do both if they work on moving the puck more efficiently in the neutral zone.

  2. Avs are my third favourite team so no hate, but I don’t feel confident that they’re the top contenders right now. I would take the Flames, Hurricanes, Lightning, and Panthers in a seven game series with them.

  3. Watching the Avs score 4 goals in 4 minutes…worth the price of admission.

Watching Islanders fans get their hopes up again for nothing…priceless. 🤣

  4. Не может вратарь за всю команду отдуваться. Колорадо явно сильнее, но парни рано расслабились, и чуть было не доигрались.

  5. The Isles defense is entirely comprised of their goalies, and playing such a great team as the Aves makes this problem all the more salient. In reality, Varlamov played incredibly well. Congratulations to Lee on 200 goals! — a spectacular accomplishment

  6. Imagine almost losing to the isles and being like “the islanders offence was almost to much for us to handle”. Lol avs.

  7. Макару надо было нападающим быть, а не защитником.

  8. This game was a butt clencher in the third period, glad we got the win though Varly was in 2014 mode!

  9. The isles play stupid and it bites them. 4 goals in the first 10 of the 3rd is inexcusable. Again, changes must be made to this roster. Credit to fighting back, but it’s inexcusable that varlamov makes 44 saves and loses. He still hasn’t won at UBS. He is truly cursed

  10. The avs consistantly start sleeping defensively as soon as they get a lead been going on a few games now not a good way to play if u want that cup Also goaltending has not been great either the last 4 games anyway some weak ones that cost against the flames but win is a win but gotta clean it up!!!

  11. Островитяне🏝 молодцы против такой лавины🌊 наравне сыграть🏒🔥👍

  12. I'm not a fan of the behind the net camera angle….cant see what's developing and it has to pan side to side…..

  13. Maybe Lou can pick up Mike Modano or Ray Bourque on the cheap….fit in real well with these undersized forwards and fossil defensemen🤣😂😭

  14. What happened to the islanders ? The Avs just to good 👍 ,! Thumbs-up Avs your on your way !

  15. The Aves should get an award for most turnovers in their zone,Again defence wins the cup and the Aves aren't good enough.

  16. Wild finish! Gg Isles! I am baffled to this day why they put so much stock in Tyson Jost, turn over machine, zero offence, what a waste. Hard to believe he went in the 1st round.

  17. Islanders went from Cup contenders to basement
In ONE season tearing down Nassau was a curse imo

  18. Avs are literally the Leafs of the west rn, this is almost a mirror image of Torontos win against Columbus…

  19. Why on earth Isles traded Devon Toews for lousy two 2nd round picks back then? I didnt get it then, dont understand it now either. Stupid move. They essentially found him for NHL and then send away. Horrible decision.
