BECAUUUUSE the last core choke in the playoffs….It means absolutely nothing if you are the best line in the league and totally crap the bed in the playoffs.They still could pick up a rental this year.
They will play Edmonton in the second round again. Whoever wins that round will go to the SCF. Either way I think Carolina wins the cup.

I think they are in the discussion. This probably sounds insane to the Alberta people, but I have always had two second teams in Edmonton and Calgary. I was in high school/college when Calgary had Phaneuf flying all over and I feel those late 2000s teams had some really fun playoffs. Edmonton is also hard not to like. Lived in Buffalo all my life except a short time in North Dakota for school. Sabres always come first, but the Battle Of Alberta is awesome and I hope they meet in the playoffs.

I don't normally blame the goalies for a loss but he wasn't very good and couldn't stop the puck when we needed him to.
