As a Sabres fan I'm kind of happy this happened because at least now we can definitively say the goaltending situation is unacceptable and 100 percent need to find someone this off season along with a veteran defensiveman.

People keep saying Sabres will break playoff drought next year. Goalies suck. Defense is still terrible. Yes in some ways they have played better of late but they are still awful in multiple facets of the game.

These two goalie's were traded for each other once via Avs/Sens lol. Brian Elliot looked sharp.
Lightning have had a real problem scoring,not the same offensive powerhouse,lost some key players,dont expect much in the playoffs
They had a great 2 yr run,time to add some young offensive talent,while the core is still together
