  1. The only thing I’d say you got wrong is forsberg if you watch him play he won Ottawa games he’s way better then you led on but other than that fantastic

  2. Don't underestimate the sens bottom 6. 3rd line has formenton pinto and Joseph. A really fast line. The 4th will be a big, grit line

  3. With their defence, Talbot/Forsberg are gonna have to win them a lot of games. I think they'll be on the brink, but without bolstering their defence, I don't like their chances. Hope I'm wrong though!

  4. Norris’s contract was amazing! Already a first line centre 35 goal guy at 23. It’s a steal long-term locking up his prime years with Brady. I do not understand people thinking this contract was too much or a gamble. He’s going to hit 50 goals multiple times in his career, especially as a team gets better around him. The senators are shaping up to be a dangerous deep serious threat. PD has really come through and did the necessary things to get this team to the next level. Nowhere to go but up. Don’t sleep on Alex Formenton and Shane Pinto. Both have top line capabilities. Add Ridely Greig to the mix and they don’t need any forwards. could use another defenceman to play with Sanderson or TC.

  5. No but they improved a lot, but I don't think they're making the playoffs this next year. Top 6 is good not great, depth is lacking, and the blue line isn't quite there. But they made huge strides and are building, I would guess the season after this next one

  6. No playoffs this year! But they have made strides and will be in the wild card hunt till about the 70 game mark

  7. I think the goalie situation is greatly improved, I don’t think it’s as average as you say. Talbot was an all star last test and Forsberg one some games by himself and kept them in games they should’ve been far out of. Hoping they kill it!

  8. I think with Boston going through injury issues at the start of the year, the door should be wide open for either Ottawa or Detroit to fill in that playoff spot this year. Love that they went out and got Debrincat, their top 6 is looking unreal!

  9. Great Video! I know you can only say so much to keep the flow of the video. But I believe the bottom 6 is still something to talk about, 3rd line of Forementon-Pinto-Joseph. The speed of that line, plus the skill, that’s good depth. But I’m very excited to see a 4th line of Kelly-Kastelic-Watson, none of those names bat an eye, but they’re a good/gritty line; a shutdown line. That line reminds me of The Pesky Sens, the league doesn’t know them now, but they sure will start to soon.

  10. First time viewer and sub'd. Great video. I think they get the wild card if they stay healthy. I hope the tweet by Marc Methot is accurate that Chychrun wants to come here. If not, Calgary has a lot of Dman including local boy Weeger.

  11. Regarding prospect goalies, don’t sleep on Levi Merilainen. He’s sneaky goooood also Finlands starter for the WJC

  12. We need to add a bonafide top 4 dman to play with Chabot Sanderson and Zub. No guarantee Sanderson is ready to start the season. We need a better coach too.

  13. I have to agree with Marc Methot. I think this year we are just on the outside looking in. Very exciting future for the team tho

  14. As a sens fan this is probably the first video i’ve seen on this topic that seems to be really knowledgeable on the subject, this was really good. I completely agree with just about everything you said, only thing i’d like to point out is your thoughts on forsberg. Last season, forsberg was amazing, putting up good numbers in front of an atrocious defense, now with that defense improving with sanderson and potentially jbd/thomson, he will have much more help in front of him. According to most GSAx analytics i’ve seen, forsbergs analytics were top 10 in the NHL, talbot backing him up will be a great addition. Only issue with forsberg is that his great play does have a very small sample size. Otherwise I do think our entire forward core is completely playoff calibre atm, especially with pinto joseph and formenton on that third line, that will be an extremely fast and young line. Only thing holding us back is our defensive core, which might turn our fine, or might turn out bad, depends how sanderson and the other prospects adapt to the NHL. The only other (big) issue is that we are in the atlantic, because i completely agree that this is a playoff team if we were in any other division, our division means that we’ll likely be fighting for that wildcard at the end of the season. (also DJ Smith needs to step up his game at the start of the season)

    Great video 👍

  15. Disagree on your goalie take – analytically, Forsberg was a top-12 goalie last year on a very weak team. He'll be the starter next year, and he should be able to provide average NHL goaltending at a minimum. Having Talbot as the 1B is pretty nice.

  16. Anyone saying no doesn’t follow hockey…offensive group is better than the Leafs and both Chabot and Sanderson are better than Leafs #1 dman. Don’t get me started on goaltending!

  17. Tim Stutzle (born in 2002) is first in points for all players born in 2002 and second in points if you include players born in 2001. The only player with more points who is born in 2001 is Jack Hughes.
