  1. Buying out Kassian would be dumb. The Oilers should give up the pick it takes to make the Yotes take him. Shouldn't cost more than a 2nd or 3rd imo. Buying him out means cap ouchies for years to come, if yet small ones.

  2. Archi could be back, he gave more than he got and depending on what he's asking for, he could easily be worth it. Kane probably won't sign for less than 6 or 7 so I doubt he'll be back, even if we could open up another 3 or 4 in cap space and didn't spend 4 or 5, of the total, on a 'tender.
If we can't get Yams and Cloud back with reasonable contracts, I'll be disappointed, they're personality guys.
JP seems a "wait and see how the player feels" situation which I hope will be resolved by him signing a comfortable, three year, trade restricting deal. That way, if the powers that be decide to move him, he'll have a good contract for living, for trades, and he'll also have an influence on where he ends up. If he's not down for signing a short, team first contract, move him for a conditional pick.

  3. Ostap Safin signed in Europe with Filip Bergland so he's not in the list. Until the Oilers know who's really possible this one is a crap shoot. They have to know who's retiring or will be LTIR, who they have, what they need. Kane fits but the tenuous nature of his situation with San Jose makes things difficult. Making an offer to someone who can get yanked from you is problematic especially when that someone is asking a lot. Xavier Borgault is showing well at the Memorial Cup (1 goal, 1 assist (on the game winner) against the Oil Kings) BUT I don't know how well he plays with the puck NOT on his stick. Being good at that level doesn't always mean you can translate it to the big leagues. We'll see but I think you're right that he really needs a year in the AHL to make sure he's ready. Everyone keeps pinning a lot of hopes on Holloway. I can't make an informed decision about the player as I haven't seen a lot. I'm hopeful but we'll see. Great vid as always. Take care all.

  4. I want to see Xavier get a 5 or 7 game try out in the regular season , I feel like he's still being overlooked like the team he's on

  5. Interesting in deed. Hoping Kass gets traded. Kane not likely but still hoping. Jesse is a real question mark. Keep the vids rolling

  6. Hi Patrick. I agree with you on what you said. I have a question for you I am watching the Edmonton oilers playoff games with the Calgary flames on dvd they show a area called the ice district where is it located is it inside Rogers place by the Ford hall or is it outside by the arena. I have never been to Edmonton Alberta at all. Thank you for your help Patrick. Andy.

  7. need too resign Jesse too a reasonable bridge deal he has size and tools for playoff hockey. if we move him will regret it . I realize he is slower development but he is and will improve Yamamoto can not gain height and size.

  8. I hope that Ryan Mcleod stays, really would love to see a bit of a shake up in the bottom 6 though. Toughness is one thing but would love to see Nuge get a winger that can compliment him more, I would also like to see them get Kane, even if it may be a pipe dream, I think Woody is going to be great to add his 2 cents on who else he needs to fill out the roster.
