  1. You are very insightful and up to speed. I appreciate your thoughts. GO BRONCOS!

  2. I'm not a Tampa fan but I wouldn't count them out. A 7-0 blowout relies heavily on the other team playing badly.

  3. Knew Tampa couldn't keep it going. Near impossible to be a dynasty in modern team sports. They'll be like gsw four titles in six or eight years.

  4. I am so interested in Tampa Bay fans opinion about something. With as many games as the Bolts have played and the short rest period "Compared" to the AVS, I have been thinking a lot about Andrei. I really thought they would go to game one, pull Andrei to give him a break and "almost" sacrifice game one. I'm not suggesting they concede the game up front, I would never expect any team to do that. I just thought they would allow Andrei that much needed break. Speaking reality, Brians stats are pretty daggone good. He's nomslouch in the crease either. GAA 2.43 WITH SV% .912. I mean as great as Andrei is in the crease, he has let some shots get by that is just so unlike him. Also don't think I'm blaming any loss on him, Obvious the AVS just simply outskated and outplayed the Bolts in EVERY category. Any thoughts about resting Andrei for game one? And I do understand hindsight is 20/20.

  5. I'm an Avs fan, and I would like to thank yoy for your unbiased take. I agree about the Vegas victory over Colorado fueling us. Hopefully, the Avs get it done, but until those last 4 wins are added up to 16 W's, I won't count the Bolts out.

  6. The Avs could always just have a bad game where nothing is clicking, but I wouldn't count on it happening 4 times in this series.

  7. Tampa got there ass kicked last night hope Colorado wins game 3 and ends tampa dream to become 3 time champions.

  8. Much like our Bolts I'm looking for an answer. I'm trying to still figure out what happened at the end of the 2nd, beginning of the 3rd, and why the start of the 3rd period was even strength or 5 on 5.
I found myself shocked at the end of game 1 when they said that Maroon's penalty carried over from the 3rd to the OT. Everything in the world seemed wrong about it, but I have to admit, I don't ever remember watching a playoff game where a team was in the box at the end of regulation and it carried over into OT. I saw it in the regular season, and while I feel like I missed a rule change about all this at some point. So I'm not blaming or saying anyone messed up, like the refs, but if any hockey historian is reading this, could you please fill me in about the history of penalties from the end of the regulation carrying into OT of the Cup playoffs. Always? Recent rule change, say, like when they changed Regular season to 3 on 3 OT. I had been a LA Kings during their 2 successful cup runs. In those playoffs I think LA had several OT games, and unless I'm mistaken, the Kings had a few 2 and 3 period OTs. Full 20 minute 5 on 5 OT periods. Literally watched 2 full games back to back. It seems like it was soon after that when the leagues seeing the success of the 3 on 3 in the All Star format was adopted as standard for regular season OT.
The MAIN REASON I'm commenting is to ask for people's help explaining by the book what happened between the end of 2nd and beginning of the 3rd last night.
Here's what I saw and correctly or incorrectly interpreted as this:
The Avs player, was it Compher? He or another Av, took Corey Perry into the net and onto the ice where he was successfully preventing Perry from getting up and back into action. I saw Perry using his knee to lean unto the Avs leg after the ref was there trying to separate them.
First I'm wondering if that was the reason for 4 minute major against Perry.
I didn't or couldn't hear any real explanation by the analysts, announcer, or a shot of the referee explaining it to the crowd.
Then I saw Maroon going to the penalty box "to serve the 2 minute minor" I heard the analysts say. Then I saw the the ref finally fetch Comphy off the Denver bench to make him go to the Penalty box.
At the end of the 2nd then, there was still time on the 2 minute minor penalty as the clock ran out before the penalty.
So to my eyes, it seemed like the 3rd should've started out,
with a 4 on 3 and then at least 2 more minutes of 5 on 4, due to the 4 minute Major on Perry. What am I missing here? Did the 3rd not start off with even numbers? By 18:38 the Lightning was awarded a powerplay, that, naturally, the Avs scored on, easily, short handed.
Maybe it's all just me and how upset I was at the Lightning by then, feeling sick to my stomach about the amount of money I spent on getting tickets to Game 4 as soon as they went on sale. (Honestly if we get embarrassingly humiliated, like I think we will in game 3, I'm ready to sell my 2 🎫🎫tickets to game 4 to fans of the Avs so they can be there to celebrate the humiliating 🧹🏒🥅🧹🧹🧹🕳🙅🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️🙇🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️📉🚽⚰️🪦of mentally and physically broken Champs, who looked like the first Beer league team to ever play in the Stanley Cup. I mean, beer leagues are the only place I've witnessed teams that are as bad as the Lightning were last night. I hate thinking about the money I blew to support this team and the product they're putting on the ice, which is only fit for feeding toilets. Does anyone know where Hedman or Stamkos disappeared to? Oh wait, I remember hearing their names everytime they were turning over the puck again, especially the ones that led to another goal, right Victor? Heady has increasingly become a non factor throughout the playoffs. Same for Steven against the Avs, and the Avs have effectively shut down Kuch. Don't think that it's not killing me to call them out, they're my 3 favorite players, but right now, considering their on ice play, they are also thieves stealing Bolts fans' money and ability to enjoy anything about hockey when they play as they did. 4 repeats of game 1 and a sweep, I could accept, but 7-0 and literally playing like the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, pre Jim's and Shoresys 4 studs. Playing like the Halifax Highlanders before Glatt and LaFlammes bromance started, is unacceptable for tickets in the $1000s. Also the NHL needs to find its soul. Some of the rules like penalty plays for inadvertently knocking the puck out of play has now had a direct effect on the outcome of a Stanley Cup Finals game. That's ridiculous, just like penalizing teams for having the nerve to ask for a video review of a goal and punishing the team, the fans and the great, greatest team sport ever invented, hockey itself, by giving the other team a powerplay if you don't win the review. Carrying powerplays over to OT is a BS rule too, for any game at anytime of the season. OT should be tabla rosa, a clean slate. That's the true spirit and purpose of an OT, not another SJW rule.

Anyway, if someone can explain me to me what happened with the Perry, Comphy, Maroon situation, according to the refs and rules on why it seemed like the 3rd period started with no powerplay hanging over from the 2nd, not the minor penalties that Maroon and Comphy were serving or the 4 minute major, again, that should have had over 2 minutes left on it when the 3rd started. I think the announcers and league failed to actually explain anything clearly about what was going on.
If you can I'll give Shoresy's balls a tug.

  9. Avalanches embarassed Lightning by a score 0-7 ….like Julia Robert said in Pretty Woman ….Big Big Huge Mistake ! …..never wake a sleeping lion 🦁

  10. From the skating, it feels like Colorado should be renamed. I’ve never seen a group more hungry, determined, and having all 5 guys skating 200 feet both ways.

  11. TB is going to put more pressure on the AVS and will get their chances (unlike game 2).If Kuemper plays his best in game 3, the Bolts are in trouble. That, however, is a big if. If he sucks (as he has been known to do) then who knows what happens. To a man, the AVS are going into game 3 focused and determined to be even better than game 2. Who wants it more? That's going to be the question.

  12. Most respect for the lighting, we have been waiting for this for 20 years. GoAvsGo!!! Bring the cup back home!

  13. Good analysis dude but you have to ask yourself, what's the Bolt's answer going to be tonight? They really can't try and outgun the Av's as the Avalanche will win that every time. I think they're going fall back to the loser mentality of beat them up and take cheap shots. They'll put the Av's on the power play early again and it's lights out!!

  14. when you start recording at the 2nd period it really reminds me of that time dangle started recording when the bad leafs where getting their shit kicked in by the preds lmao. waaay back when.

  15. I said this before the series started, whoever wins on the road first wins it all. To me as a Lightining fan, this game tonight, could very well be the last stand, if we dont win it tonight I really dont think we have a shot after that, and if we somehow did, it'd be the best comeback in stanley cup history from a series prespective.

  16. But see the biggest difference between the rangers and the Avs is tampa plays and sees the rangers in the regular season they know how to play against them and in game 2 against the ranger they figured out where there weakness was and they had two goals to give them a little sun light but there now playing the fastest team in the nhl from line 1-4 and Brayden point is not 100% hedman is dealing with an injury tampa is more of a big body team there not built to play at the speed and pace of the Avs with the depth Colorado has from line 1-4 there’s no weakness or lack of speed and John cooper doesn’t know what to do because he’s never faced a team tht is speed and quality from all 4 lines

  17. Game 1 Shisturken played incredibly and Vasi had a bad night even though the rest of the bolts played great. They should have won that on merit and the goaltending won it for NYR. The Bolts had good blocks of each game. The bolts only had a good 1 minute in that 2nd period of game 1 and that isn't being hyperbolic that is the only dominance they shown in the series. Its not that the defense isn't needed by the Avs because it is as good as their offense is and is just as fast. A lot of their offense is started from their defense by design. This is why Tampa only had 17 shots on goal the entire night. This is why Colorado had 2 goals before Tampa had even 2 shots and 3 goals before they had 3 shots.

  18. Imagine liking the Chiefs and the lightning…. Pick a struggle.
