To me I think that the Oilers have worked really hard in the offseason to make it further than last season in many important ways with a better structure of the team’s defensive foundation that being the Goalie set up and defensive players and the team’s offensive structure as well. And pre-season is helping to decide which player(s) stays or goes and which players, play good with other players.But this should be a win, win situation because the Oilers prospects are pretty damn, good this year. And because of all theses changes to fix problems from last season I now see the Oilers making it further than ever before.
Basically the Oilers are trash without CM.

When the oilers disappoint as usual & decide to blame him in December, my bolts could always use an assistant equipment manager.
I like the strategy of putting the 3rd and 4th line guys on 1st and 2nd line. We have lacked 3rda nd 4th line scoring. It was a little better last year. But we still only had 2 3rd or 4th line players to have at least 10 goals. So nobody is really safe. As much as we will need some grit and scappy players like shore,foeghle and others on those lines we need some supporting offense
