The supposed "stop gap" until another Jonathan is ready to take the reign, but yet a decade after the supposed "stop gap" still plays at the highest level. Hands down the best goalie in Kings History.

The GOAT
Part of Quick's appeal is how selfless he is and how little he talks to the media, but all these years later I feel like we really don't have that many great interviews with him that we can go back and watch. So I appreciate these little ones. Even this one is about 10 minutes shorter than the other players.

The core should retire as kings. They’ve given us everything.
Been following hockey and the Kings since the mid 70’s. Yes he is the best Kings goalie ever. More importantly the run up to and through the 2012 playoffs was the greatest stretch of goaltending I have ever seen. No goalie ever was better than Jonathan Quick was during that stretch.

Jonathan Quick is the greatest goalie to ever play the game and no one else comes close. He singlehandedly redefined the goaltending position. He is the best big ticket goalie. The one and only Jonathan Quick #32, my favorite hockey player.

I wish Quick played better than Mike Smith this series as he only looked half decent in game 7 giving up weak wraparound on first chance in game 6. His glove hand was weak so maybe he was hurt way he plays low giving up that goal is odd. I blame Sutter or Kings for overplaying him 60 to nearly 70 games or in the 50s having him break down losing his save percentage from .940 to lucky if its .900 or better. LA always had good backup goalies even losing Pacific Division Title on last game to Ducks when could have rested him perhaps winning more games. Cal seemed to be pretty iffy so hopefully can make playoffs for his final year of contract. I'm just glad he passed Mike Richter the Rangers Goalie for Most Shutouts for USA Born Goalie in Playoffs.
