  1. Hope you have an enjoyable birthday in the near future Rachel! I count this draft as a win, we didn't drop. In my opinion, the lottery should not exist, it hardly ever helps the teams that need it most. They say its to prevent tanking, but these are professionals, they value their jobs. My hatred for NJ grows. I won't even speculate on whom to draft at 8, Yzerman might pull another off the board pick. I'll trust in that player no matter whom Steve picks. Am I gonna need to send some hats to you gals to see them in the backround? Much love, LGRW🏒🤘🐙

  2. Scrap lottery.

Teams with most points missing playoffs should get top picks.
Stop rewarding the bad teams, return some integrity to the game.

Keep as is for playoff teams.

  3. Thank you. I've also subscribed to a channel with Darren McCarty ( DMac ) which is considerably more bombastic but thoroughly enjoyable, and I sometimes watch The Hockey Guy for a kind of university lecture style approach, but you're my happy place in Red Wings news. Selfishly, I hope you never stop!

  4. I totally agree with you guys. If we do get a center at 8 it will probably take a couple of years to develop and they will use free agency to fill that void til then. I really like Vincent Trochceck from Carolina to fil that 2nd line center spot via free agency.

  5. I'm kind of happy New Jersey won the 2nd pick. If you want to give a good pick to a team that's never going to compete…. Well, Arizona would have been better… But Hughes and Slavkovsky… Not intimidating.

  6. Cholowski was 20th overall. He played like he was 120th so I understand your confusion. Yzerman likes to pick the player where people say he's an elite this or that… But…. And the but disappears over time. He also likes a high compete level and character. This has me thinking Nazar or Lekerrimakki.

  7. the premise of the draft lottery is specious at best. if a team is willing to bag an entire season for the 1st pick in the next draft lottery then they have earned that position in the draft. worst should pick first.
