Idk how you think that first red jersey is similar to what they wear now, completely different designs. Shoulders are different, arms have that pinstripe thing instead of stars, and the bottom stripe is different. Only similarity is the color and the text logo on the front.

I only realized this about a month ago, so I don’t know that many people know this, but the bottom of the Caps’ current secondary logo is an outline of the capitol building

The star difference between the current jersey and their original jersey is big thing. The 3 stars on the current jersey is a reference to the DC flag.

The Capitals blue jersey will always have a special place in my heart. 98 was the year when I first got into hockey, and those were their colors during those years (and I also have a bias for blue, being my personal favorite color).
The main difference between the original Caps jerseys, and the ones they wear now is the blue is darker in their current jerseys. I think the original colors are way better
As caps fan, that last stadium series Jersey is my favorite . The rebranded white throwback is my second favorite . And the one with big W is my third favorite . So yea there you have it
The original Caps jerseys make me think of Evel Knievel. All those stars! I think the current wordmark is a nice update to the original, and agree that the eagle/W/capitol shoulder logo should become the front logo on a third jersey. And maybe, eventually, the primary logo with the current wordmark made into a third.

i miss the screaming eagles jerseys as well as the capital building jersey. i don't care for the (essentially) word mark logo jerseys they use now. their secondary logo should be the one they use on the front of the jersey, use the word mark logo as the shoulder patch. that winter classic "W" jersey kinda just reminds me of what you'd see a college/university team using as a jersey

Caps originals were the best design, current design is so plain almost like a practice jersey. Best logo is the current shoulder patch, I liked the capital building too.
Really hope the Caps don’t rebrand again after Ovi retires, their current jerseys will always be associated with the best (so far) era of Caps hockey and that’s what’s needed for a team to establish an identity.
I love your content and I generally agree with your taste in Jerseys but I think the stadium jersey is clean.
