  1. Seriously, the pressure of the Oilers to win looking like their kryptonite. LA KINGS looks like they got Oilers system dialed in most of the time.
Moore's reverse check on Drais was awesome.

  2. It seems after the 6-0 and 8-2 thumping McClellan made some surgical changes to LA's game. That said it seems Woodcroft has not had the answers to successfully respond to McClellan's brilliant changes. I've said it before and I'll say it again. The student remains the student and the teacher remains the teacher. The players can blame themselves, but the last 2 losses are on the coach IMO. Welcome to the NHL Woody. Where the sports world judges you for not how you started out but where you end up. It's moments like this that determine whether you get a new contract or not.

  3. Oil are just a bunch of head cases. There the new Leafs where they'll find a way to loose. The fact they're getting out worked by a team that has way less talent. Sad.

  4. My expectations are low. Beyond low. They’re so low. But that’s not to say that I’ve given up

  5. I don't think Mike Smith has ever won the third game after getting a shutout, not trying to make a dig at him but I've noticed this over the last couple years so hopefully he's past the cut-off for losing after a shutout. I hope we see the oilers team we saw in game two, that was easily the best I've ever seen the oilers

  6. I think if oilers win game 6 they win game 7 as well. Or they lose in game 6. Don’t see them losing in 7

  7. Looking forward to a Kane suspension for elbowing to the head.. He and Nurse can spoon each other… Or beat up some women.. Class acts….

  8. They are definitely gonna have to move a big piece. Need goaltender/top notch defence man. We are just brutal on D.

  9. It's so frustrating. You figure after a good nights rest as a fan you'd forget what happened in game 5 and just look forward to game 6 but I'm still so bothered by game 5. The oilers are playing with no heart whatsoever. Obviously they haven't learned anything from the series against Chicago and Winnipeg. They are falling back into those same bad habits. 2 huge games and they show up with not even 20% of what they're capable of. It's getting very hard to keep on believing in this team. Huge game tomorrow, we'll see what happens. I have a good idea how the game will go and hopefully I'm wrong.

  10. You are frustrated and worried about being eliminated. That's understandable. We were frustrated and worried about being eliminated after being badly outplayed in games 2 and 3. This series is far from over.

  11. I swear to Christ, I'm a professional musician and make anywhere from $150-$500 a night for playing guitar.
If I came out as flat footed as these playoff Oilers I would be fired from gigs and just wouldn't get hired anymore! Poof, end of career!
How is it that these superstar multi million dollar hockey players come out with no vibe, no energy, a fraction of their actual skill?!? What gives? Are they all having trouble with their GFs all of a sudden, eating burritos before the game? Drinking the night before or beers on the patio day of?!
I don't understand how they can be so inconsistent!!

  12. Well said Patrick…I couldn't have said it better myself. The silver lining is that I haven't seen the Oilers lose 3 games in a row under Woody. We will take the kings to 7 games

  13. Well…not what I expected, I truly felt they had risen above what they have faltered at in the previous few years. I am not going to point any fingers. To me it is painfully obvious, as it is 99% of the time especially in the post season, that the team that shows up and plays with tenacity and simply wants it more will win. I said it from the start, this is Edmontons series to win or loose, and as much as I stand on that fact, Edmonton has done less than LA has risen. No disrespect to LA. There are no excuses for Edmonton, ZERO, and if they do not want it more, if they do not play with tenacity, LA can beat them. They are well coached, they know what they must do, at this point their are no unknowns….if Edmonton plays like they can, and they have shown it, they will win. There is no tomorrow now, we will know soon who they really are…

  14. The Kings are a bunch of bums and the Oilers SHOULD be walking all over them. ;-p
