Jets fan perspective : our team has been awful transitionally (except demelo who got hurt) which is why our offence seems to go anemic last year we had no dman who could get the puck to our forwards. Dillon and schmidt are both very solid at zone exits which is going to cascade into our offence. It doesnt seem like dillon and schmidt are game breakers which is correct but our top 6 is and they will be unleashed due to more effective transitions. Maurice has also finally realized ehlers is our most dangerous offensive weapon and hes going to torch the league this year. Also pld looks miles better than last season in preseason thus far.
Just to clarify, Bryan Little hasn't played since November 2019. His final full season with the Jets was 2018-19. I don't think you can count him as a departure for this season.
Stastny has a career 54% at face-offs, lowest at 48% during his rookie year (where he put up 78 points).

Mark Scheifele is a great player that has a terrible habit of hurting his team with some of his play. He was the guy who fed Laine the widowmaker pass against Buffalo that got Laine injured, and he was the guy who tried to kill Jake Evans for having the audacity to put in an empty-netter. The guy needs to grow up, and when he does he will be a legend.

If PLD can't win a face-off it doesn't make sense to have him at center over Stastny who is in fact pretty good on the draw and good at that position.

Whether or not Hellebuyck is "the best" he is certainly the player that all of Winnipeg's hopes hang on.
Gibson is the best goalie in the league considering how well he's done with the shitty ducks teams that have been in front of him. Conor can get them into the playoffs but then fails hard every time they've made it.
