Il s’agit de l’épisode 1 de la saison 2021-22 où je discute de ce que les Ducks d’Anaheim doivent faire pendant l’intersaison pour s’assurer que ce que nous avons vu l’année dernière n’est pas ce que nous verrons l’année prochaine. Also, one correction from what I say in the video – Hampus Lindholm is not signed long term but I do believe the Ducks will be able to sign him to a contract extension. I am not as confident they'll be able to do with Josh Manson.
Hey Doug, I have disagree on your Expansion Draft analysis, but just because we come from different starting points: As it stands right now, the Ducks only have seven forwards who meet the exposure requirements (Henrique, Silf, Rak, Terry, Deslauriers, Grant & Milano), UFAs or RFAs like Getzlaf, Steel, Volkov, Jones or Lundestrom and players who didn't played enough games like Backes or DeLeo can't be exposed (so those don't need protection right now) This may change of course depending if the Ducks sign their UFAs or RFAs to contracts prior to the Expansion Draft…
I'm not sure if I miss something here or if they HAVE to protect seven forwards in this scenario or otherwise, the Ducks could very well stand pat with those contracts as the Expansion Draft is one week prior to the start of Free Agency. They just need to expose two forwards so Seattle has to pick between Grant & Deslauriers on offense (imho) or Shattenkirk, Manson or Larsson on defense with Stolarz in goal.
Correction on my part: "Seattle will be granted a 48-hour window prior to the draft to sign any unprotected pending free agent (restricted or unrestricted, one per team). If a team loses a player to Seattle during the signing window, it will not have a player selected from its roster during this draft as this will count as Seattle's selection."

I know nothing about hockey, but I LOVED The Mighty Ducks as a kid, so I always wanted a classic Ducks jersey. The Hurricanes are the hometown team though. When they won the Stanley Cup in 06, they brought it to the Boys & Girls Club and we got to take a picture with it! I'm glad I could inspire you in some way, and hope to watch this show grow leaps and bounds!
