@Maple Leafs de Toronto

1. Leafs suck!! As far as managmemt goes right next to Chicago Dubus can't draft 2 years in row he has blown his first round daft picks!! Dubus would not sign a contract over 2 years and one 3 three year contract!! Just brutal now there is adding a lot to the strength to your team next best player Knives, Robertson is to slow and has had injuries!! Dubas can't trade thank you for taking Murrary!! Dubas ahould have been fired he can't get out of the first round!! To bad the Leafs had no chance on Kadri LoL!! The chance that the Leafs make the playoffs is in the air Mathews can only do so much you better hope your goaltending pull up there pads!! Mike and Dave start a go fund me to go to Nashville for the Draft listen you freeloaders if you want to get to Nashville pay for it yourself talk about cheap you sound like Dubus this summer!! GO SENS SO!!

  2. The Tavares stuff gets tiring. The Leafs pretty much promised Tavares Marner when they were trying to get him to sign, then after he had a career year they pulled the bait and switch on him. Tavares and his contract would be fine if Keefe would give him good wingers. Tavares needs wingers that forecheck and backcheck hard and who will play a cycle game in the other team's end. Keefe has given him wingers who won't defend or forecheck, who want to race up the ice with their sweaters flapping in the wind, take one shot, score or more often, turn the puck over and then slowly glide back to their own end leaving the defending entirely up to their teammates. Rethink the wingers over and he will look great.

  3. If I'm a Flames fan (which I'm not) I'm extremely happy to get rid of Tkachuk and Gaudreau – back to the good 'ol USA for them where those 2 babies belong. You need players who want to play with their heart and soul with your team – Leafs are a prime example of no heart and soul.

  4. Leaf management gets a "B" for not winning a playoff round in 18 years …. boy, I'm a superstar if that's the case. I better tell my boss! Roster building Leafs got lucky with one draft ball and got Matthews which was a no-brainer – everything else is mediocre.

  5. Problem with Leafs roster is they play a soft game – they have needed a Josh Anderson type player for years and Dubas couldn't do the job. Simmonds way past his prime and Clifford the Big Red Dog never had a prime. Had to get a cheap replica because of poor cap management.

  6. Lightning cap problems?? Are you kidding me Dave?? Back to back Stanley Cups and a final is not too bad I think.

  7. The Leafs are on the cutting edge of WOKE BS culture! They don't care about winning all they care about is hiring Women and minorities! They are also in the lead for signing TINY little boys to pave the way for WOMEN to play in the NHL! They already got rid of fighting and most of the hitting, so Women will not be far behind! Lets face it. The NHL has been infiltrated by the WOKE culture! And the Leafs are ground ZERO!!!

  8. Dubas should get lessons from Treveling in Calgary,, Tavares is regressing, slow.. 3rd line C at best window came leafs failed
D is weak, no good 3rd 4th line depth.. Blaming Nylander is foolish, one of the best players on the team as far as points per minutes play

  9. Ron Sampson
I listened to every podcast since last year, and since you came on Dave you have done a great job, Mike your ability to see what others do not is refreshing!! How about this though!!
    Matthew Knies!!
Old Professor from the hockey writers says he didn’t have a great showing
Mmm? maybe he should have PVR’d the games so he can replay all that his “ old eyes” missed!!
Here’s what I saw!!! Strong skating, good edge work, intelligent hockey decisions, did shy away from contact but didn’t go out of his way to create it, thus putting you OUT of position, most of all I saw a young man showcasing himself and still not making the SELFISH plays but thinking about the team and the ultimate goal of getting the gold medal!!
His line mates on the other hand “Logan Cooley” and Crontro?? Spelled wrong but don’t care! Were playing the Mitch Marner game of edge work and showing how well the can hold onto the puck in the zone, but the thing that make Marner so good is He isn’t selfish, his roll it to draw defenders and get the out to to the shooter on the line “ Austin Matthews”.
Matthew Knies continually good into the open ice for the pass that never came, oh sorry it did ONCE in 4 games, I’m sure a good coach would have seen that Cooley was more worried about justifying his 3 place draft position, but that as we see doesn’t win a gold medal or any for that matter! I think with players that know their role on a line are way more successful that great players that are more worried about their cookies! Prime example!! You’ll love this Mike
Micheal Bunting!!! Knows his role on his line and everyone benefits and so does he!!!!
    What do you both think!!!
I’ll be listening for the next episode on Canada and the truth about Matthew Knies!!
Eye Test Mike & Dave, analytics are useful but don’t always show the truth about what really went on in a game that caused those stats!!!

  10. ..i recall other teams not wanting to play the Habs in a shortened series because of Price…if his co-workers feared him….probably Hall bound..

  11. Dubas's bad trading history is more than just Kadri and Murray. At the 2021 deadline alone he gave up a 1st, a 3rd, two 4th's, a 5th, a 6th & Alex Barabanov – for – Nick Foligno, David Rittich, Stefan Noesen, Ben Hutton, Riley Nash & Antti Suomela. Combined they played only 16 season games and only 6 playoff games for the leafs. All but Suomela are gone

  12. Love when LOCKED ON LEAFS host says they hate Montreal as a team and an organization. That is because there is SOMETHING TO HATE. remember last playoff series. Now we Hab fans don’t hate the leafs… we look at them as one gawks at a car crash… let’s face it with 5 times the Talent the leafs ump into each other like bumbling fumbling keystone cops… we watch and laugh. Better win in the next two years… or like Kadri… Mathews is gone to Arizona

  13. 18th… c’mon… with the talent they had lined up 4 years ago… this team should be sitting with 2 cups by now. There is colossal mis management here and if you don’t see it you are wilfully ignoring reality

  14. Shoulda…. Shoulda… shoulda…. Love leaf locked on… sooooo entertaining to watch delusion

  15. Ontario has two major hockey teams. Leafs and Senators in the same province. Toronto was here first right? So who are the Sens? One Fed, one Provincial or another OHL team?

  16. Naz is 100% overlooked for his defensive contributions, He is one of very few players in the league who can make guys like McDavid look totally ineffective in a game.

  17. I think the Habs could be the big winner. If Monahan has a bounce back year with Montreal and they picked up a first round pick at minimum conditions dependent, thats a good grab on any Halloween. Hughes is making moves that will help blue blanc et rouge now and in the future. Are the flames ready to compete for the playoffs? Yes, will Kadri and Huberdeau have a post contract signing drop of years? Maybe, they are both going from attractive teams in attractive places to Calgary and an arena from 1988. The Panthers won the President's trophy and Colorado won the Cup, that being said Calgary goes nuts for hockey when they are good, if they put this together it could explode. Give the C to Huberdeau and an A to Kadri leadership complements skill and grit. Good luck this year Flames. Lucic is only owed 875,00 base salary left on his deal, a 10 team trade list might not included Buffalo but Arizona could be there.
