  1. I hope they turn it around soon, because that massive Kyrou contract is looking like a franchise killer, and this might be the worst Blues defense in the last decade.

  2. Nobody is coming to rescue them. Exact opposite. The leadership group needs to lead or step aside.

  3. The coach isn’t going anywhere. That’s a great quote out of this.

  4. Perron was our competitor and you let him walk for 2 guys..Kyrou and Thomas contracts were horrible…

  5. Really appreciate Armstrong coming out and sending a message and intervening early in this situation before it gets out of hand. Also happy that Doug recognizes this for what it is and what it isn’t: this is not a coaching/Craig Berube issue. Berube is a heckuva coach. This is on the players going out there and looking like they’re just there to collect a paycheck. The players have to step up and hold each other accountable to a standard of hockey. And it’s not an unreasonable standard. It’s the standard that these guys have set themselves over these last years! This team is waaaaaaay too talented to be playing like this!

  6. I’d rather see Perron playing center on a legacy contract than a half dozen forward contracts over the last few years. He should have gotten the steen and schenn treatment. Playing center isn’t the end all be all for mixing lines. Kyrous matching to Thomas contract is weird. Still a good club.

  7. What I expect to see Thursday night is 3 periods of 4 lines of guys going all out and being all in for each other from the drop to the final horn. Win or lose, that is the minimum that needs to be on display on Thursday.
