Oiler fan here. Was rooting for Florida (obviously) but great game by Calgary. Those board ads are classless, useless, egregiously obstructing, visually and cosmetically disgusting. Typical Bettman, no public inquiry, no fan focus study, no fan survey, no fan vote, nothing to determine as to whether or not the "genius" concept (sarcasm) will compromise the live experience. Reminds me of Brad Pitt's line in Money Ball "the fans don't run my ball club". King Bettman does whatever he wants despite how many fans he pisses off. Can't imagine how many times a goalie loses sight of the puck when an animated car takes off from 0-60 from the corner of the boards. Perhaps there's an explanation as to why scoring is so high this season and the majority of goalies in the league are not playing well. Although in Bettman's mind that's a good thing. To hell with the goals against stats and a goalie's career. The more goals the more fun to watch according to the world of Bettman. The digital ads have served their real purpose.
