I think coyotes did the right thing with the evidence they have now, but man this kid didnt know it at the time but his actions as a teenager ruined the rest of his life. A criminal record as a teenager really holds people back from a lot of things, like certain educational programs, jobs and now we can add sports to that list.
Do we really want to be a society/community that offers no path to redemption to kids who make horrible mistakes at the age of 15?

As a UND student, I fully support him being kicked off the team (He was also removed from the UND hockey team). What a lot of people don't know is that he hadn't given a real apology to the victim, but managed to apologize to all 31 NHL teams.
looks like if he wants a career in hockey he'll be going to the KHL they take any and all rejects from the NHL.
The dude just isn’t sorry. I don’t think the Yotes only let him go bc of backlash. They wanted to make him a character project but didn’t know that he was a lost cause. I know the kid and it sucks bc he’s a real talent.
Although I believe the Yotes shouldn't have picked him in the first place, imagining the whiplash of emotions he experienced that ends with a humiliating end to an NHL career that never started just makes my day a little brighter

I'll never look at the Yotes the same until they change ownership. That's a highly suspicious decision.
