We need Defense!!!
Top scoring team in the league but one of the WORST defensively! If they could stop giving up so many odd man rushes and close the gap on the oppositions forwards in the D zone then the Sabres could easily make the playoffs.
I heard Brett Murray is the leading scorer in Rochester. Why isn't he up here in Buffalo on the 3rd line. He would add some scoring size to the Sabres weakest line. Middelstadt Olofsson Murray . Send Asplund to Rochester.
Also maybe trade for a defensive Defenceman to help the the Defense. . Dumba Minnesota, Josh Brown Arizona Logan Stanley Winnipeg would be nice additions and theyve been rumoured to be available.

Let's not forget that we gave up four goals. That's why we're not a playoff-caliber team. Also, I would be more excited if nine different Sabres had scored goals last night.
An amazing night and all growth is so encouraging. People are starting to take notice but the team was already turning the corner since the end of last season. The rides certainly has been bumpy but it seems undeniable they are headed in the right direction.

Great vid Wayne!!! I agree Krebs was huge for me also. I'm honestly not surprised with Tage and can see a bunch more from him. Krebs was big for me. The kid line is very exciting.
Now we need to harness that scoring – beat teams up in the standings.
What do you think Krebs and Jost are thinking now, being first round picks and being let go after the first club gave up on them? Seeing the growth and path to a blooming that Tage has enduring in the past few years must be a resounding echo going off in their heads.

I'd still really like GMKA to address our missing 3rd pair blue liners which is why we had that 8 game skid and could have another skid if any of our top two pairs get injured again; Bryson, Fitzgerald, Pilut just aren't cutting it at the NHL level. I'm convinced we have a very good team if we get those two blue liners and a virtual shoe-in for playoffs, THIS season. I think it's bit disrespectful to the kids tht GMKA won't make obvious moves to help now which don't affect anybody coming up (we have no hot blue line prospects who are close to the NHL)
So fun to watch do you think Johnny regrets his decision to go to Ohio

excellent work. tremendous night for the Sabres and the us fans. I believe we have reasons to be encourage that this team has a very promising future. and ownership just might have the right management in place to allow this team to be sustainable for the present and the future.
If Adams can fix our 3rd line and get a couple of capable defensemen this team will be unstoppable.
This game solidifies us as a highly offensive team. We just need better goaltending. I cannot ignore the fact UPL is making spectaular saves but then lets in easy shots, mind you he is great on shootouts and 1v1s. Krebs goal was hopefully a start on him playing consistently. Cozens and Dahlin maintaining their point streaks. Cozens was 2nd star of the week last week. If TNT isn't 1st start this week, its rigged.

According to statistical models, usually when a team is up 4-0, they have a 99.98% chance to win the game. So when you're talking about a 6-0 lead, there is really only a tiny fraction of games within that 0.02% where a team would actually come back. It's not surprising that it's never happened.
I'm just enjoying watching hockey again. After the end of last season and how they've played this year I look forward to the games. They're a young, exciting, high scoring team. We have a core of talented young guys who are excited to play in Buffalo. Very soon they'll be a top team in the league.
The entire league has been just gushing over Tage Thompson, and it's been so nice to actually be a talking point in the league in a good way. Tage is now 4th in the entire league in scoring. Crazy stuff!
Wow we kids!!!! Good hockey although Columbus is a subpar catastrophe. I'm still impressed with the confidence they are exhibiting. We have 3 first round draft picks coming our way and Savoie is developing into a little sniper…Why not be overconfident once in a while…
