This is completely wrong. Dallas will protect Pavelski along with Sequin, Benn, Radulov, Hintz, Robo, and Guri. Faksa, Dickinson, or Khudobin are the most likely to be picked.
Expansion draft is nonsense, no reason a team should start and in its first year be a cup contender(Vegas) and continue to be for years. They should have to build and suffer for awhile and earn it. It's a disgrace to the league that Vegas has been as good and would further this if Seattle does the same thing. The teams should be able to pick who Seattle gets not the other way around, Seattle doesn't deserve to poach talent from the other rosters who have spent years building those teams, they should have to earn it by drafting and developing players. Making trades and so on. Allowing them to be competitive day one is a spit in the face of all the other teams who had to earn success….

Wings won't let Erne go. They need to trade Larkin while they still might be able to get something half way decent for him. If Larkin was on any other team in the Nhl he would be a 3rd line guy.

TJ Oshie will get protected, Kuznetsov will get exposed. Or Caps wont resign Ovi yet. So they won’t have to protect him and they’d have a handshake deal.
I don’t think there’s a world where the blue jackets don’t protect Elvis. And they have Tarasov as a backup. I doubt they hold onto Korpi regardless of trade or expansion
Even with all the young guys I'd still hate losing Zadorov. He wasn't great this year but he was huge and a heavy hitter, you can't really teach that.

I don’t think the Kraken will get Dumba from the Wild. I think you are right, they might want to get a trade deal for him since he is a really good player. Honestly I keep saying they might give Hartman even though he had an amazing year of us.

So the established teams who put lots of work into aquiring players and developing them , get a player stolen and a new team gets a ready made playoff team like Vegas did . They should have to start in a regular draft like everyone else .
