Boston is the story of the year. Connor McDavid has had 8 years, and its in his LAST year of his contract, before scoring 50 in a season, THAT IS NOT "legendary" status. Boston is setting a record that will stand for 200 years. Connor would need to score 200 to have ANY chance of beating Boston for the story of the year.
Bruins could go 5-0 in their next couple games. Oilers are their hardest opponents. I think seeing a team succeed the way the bruins are is more impressive. Since it’s takes every player to play at an exceptional level.

I can't choose. Boston are incredible. They're skilled, but they also have this physical and never say die attitude which has been in that teams DNA for years. Look what they've done to Toronto Maple Leafs over the years. As for McDavid, the guy is incredible. He's way ahead of any other player in the league. He can make it look so easy out there.

To me, team success will always trump an individual players success. I understand that McDavid and what he's doing is incredible, but to have a team firing on all cylinders like the Bruins are doing is beyond rare. If the Bruins win the chip, this could go down as the greatest season in NHL history. I don't know what else you could ask for in a team sport.
The Bruins 100%. They had no business being this good. People thought they were too old and were going to the miss playoffs. Now they’re arguably one of the best teams ever and are favourites to win the cup after a crazy trade deadline.
To me what McDavid is doing is very impressive, but not really that surprising. McDavid has been and is the best player in the league. No question about that. But he really is just beginning his prime years and you knew coming into this season he would get even better. Didn't know it was going to be this much better but definitely better.
But coming into this season nobody expected Boston to have this kind of season. We all thought they would struggle with the injuries at the beginning and would probably fight to make the playoffs. That's why I think what Boston has done this year is more impressive.

The bruins have had a season I never saw coming. It's gotta be the bruins for me, as I already knew mcdavid was gonna score the amount of points he's scored. I thought the bruins were an aging team headed down the rabbit hole, but they've completely turned it around. i remember when they fired bruce cassidy and I thought it was a bad move, when in reality it was the best decision they could have made.
Oh, what a surprise he chose riding McDavids meat stick. Hockey is a team sport, and the greats know it's not about individual accolades.
