In 2018 they had a great regular season, and had home ice in the first round against the bluejackets,
The capitals lost game 1 and game 2 at home, and Everyone was saying what chokes they are,
The capitals went on the road in game 3 and in overtime got a goal, to win game 3, same thing on game 4, they got back to Washington and destroyed Columbus in games 5 and 6,
They then Went on to beat the penguins lightning and golden knights to win the cup

Every team I've seen that pulls off deflections like this in stanley cup playoffs against all odds is going to go far. I've seen penguins, I've seen lightning, blues, buffalo (when they won the cup last), and red wings (old wings) I can remember doing these kind of crazy deflections and thinking "holy crap these guys are on another level right now". I don't want to jinx it… but the next few games will prove if the Leafs got lucky or they're the real deal.

i admitted it i regret the comment from last game i thought tampa bay would be better this year but guess not they had to lose 2 bs games in ot but this one really up 4-1 with less than 11 minutes left and they had to allow 3 goals and one in ot rn im tired of watching them 15-19 minutes in ot for nothing
