    Woodcroft's statement to the reporter (Mark Spector?), "You call them our 4th line wingers, I wouldn't call them that; I think we have a lot of really good hockey players …", shows his class and his emotional intelligence as a coach and leader. He holds all his players in high regard and never throws anyone under the bus; he's always level-headed, fair and discerning. We have a gem in Jay Woodcroft and I don't think his contribution to this Oilers' team's success can be underestimated.

    I expect McDavid to show up big on friday in LA. The kings are playing him well but you can only prevent a player of his caliber for so long. Eventually he will break through beyond just drawing penalties and anchoring the PP.

    Q for the general public : Why are holding penalties not called when a player grabs the other teams stick and won’t let go of it? I saw that on Yammos stick and thought that was right in front of the ref too. Another question, how is it not goaltender interference when their player ran right into the blue paint and actors a goal, but it’s interference if they’re standing there during an offensive run? Final question. You’re not allowed fo touch the goalie is what the game hosts constantly say. But why is it allowed when the goalie stops the puck behind the net? There’s so many double standards imo but these allowances are screwing with my head.

    As much as I love McDavid, draisaitl has been the guy for these 2 games. I’m noticing him being on the ice a lot and with a bunch of different guys and it seems to be working. LA’s game plan was obviously to limit McDavid and contain him but teams seem to forget that draisaitl is up there with him

    Jay Woodcroft is the perfect example of who I would want to have as a coach, and who I would want coaching my team. Seriously, he's in the thick of it with them, you can tell. Some old farts talk down or through their players, Woody feels like a modern but trained classically kinda guy. Perfect fit for the Oilers room. Couldn't be happier with him.

    I've never seen a team dominate 2 games for the majority of the game and only draw 4 penalties to 10 against. That punch on Desharnais was as bad as Bouchards stick up high on that midget Moore . No call

    Man the first period was pure domination! Klim with a beautiful game winner and first in the playoffs for him. Draisaitl is playing on another level just amazing

    Two of their goals were such lucky bounces. No room but for the puck and they manage to sneak in. Everyone played great! LFGO!
