Je couvre également entièrement les séries éliminatoires de la LNH, que mon équipe participe aux séries éliminatoires, donc si vous êtes un fan de l’Avalanche du Colorado, un fan des Jets de Winnipeg ou même un fan des Oilers d’Edmonton ou des Knights de Vegas, cette chaîne sera pour vous. Beaucoup de gens me demandent quelles équipes je déteste et ma réponse est AUCUNE ! Certaines personnes s’attendent à ce que je déteste les NY Rangers ou les Boston Bruins puisque je suis un fan des Panthers de la Floride, mais la réalité est que même depuis que les NJ Devils et les NY Islanders nous ont battus en séries éliminatoires, aucune mauvaise volonté de ma part. J’avoue cependant que je ne suis pas un grand fan de voir des équipes comme les Sabres de Buffalo et les Red Wings de Detroit devenir bonnes et peut-être meilleures que mes Panthers. Je n’aime pas non plus que les équipes plus anciennes comme les Penguins de Pittsburgh et les Capitals de Washington continuent d’être aussi bonnes ou meilleures que mon équipe, principalement parce que ces équipes ont été si constantes au fil des ans. Bien sûr, j’aime bien voir les joueurs que nous avons échangés réussir dans d’autres villes comme les Flyers de Philadelphie et les Canucks de Vancouver, mais j’y suis habitué. En ce qui concerne mes Dolphins de Miami, j’admettrai que mes sentiments à l’égard des Buffalo Bills, des NY Jets et surtout des New Englad Patriots ne sont pas vraiment affectueux. De plus, voir des équipes comme les Jaguars de Jacksonville et les Giants de New York se rendre aussi loin ou plus loin que les Dolphins est bouleversant. J’admettrai que je n’aime PAS les Chiefs de Kansas City et que j’ai un faible pour les Packers de Green Bay. Tout comme la LNH, je couvre également les séries éliminatoires de la NFL, donc même si vous êtes un fan des Bengals de Cincinnati, ou même un fan des 49 de San Francisco ou des Eagles de Philadelphie, encore une fois, cette chaîne sera pour vous. J’espère que les équipes qui participeront aux séries éliminatoires la saison prochaine incluent les Lions de Detroit, les Jets de New York et peut-être même les Broncos de Denver, juste pour le plaisir ! Si vous avez lu jusqu’ici et compris que j’essaie d’écrire une description qui comprend autant de mots-clés que possible, vous avez raison. L’algorithme n’est pas mon ami comme vous pouvez l’imaginer après plus de 6 ans de création de vidéos, je suis donc prêt à essayer toutes les astuces du livre ! I seriously dislike Leafs fans. Just like the Boston series, I’m pretty certain that the other 30 teams are huge Panthers fans this week.

Leafs always strike me as a soft team. And yeah they’ve beefed up a little with ROR and Tavares and lingjeren but it doesn’t change the fact the their core of Matthews, Marner, and Nylander are just straight up soft and always have been. They’re mega talented players of course but not bred for playoff hockey. Imo Samsonov is going to have to be Jonathan Quick in 2012 type level for them to win this series. If we play our game and Bob limits the fluky goals we should be fine. Panthers will win this series in 6 games on home ice, first series win at home since 96

I agree, I’ve seen a lot of blaming the bruins for being sloppy instead of the cats getting any credit for the insane forecheck causing most of those turnovers.

My honest opinion is leave lomberg out of the lineup I think dualpe is smarter with his stick and can shoot the puck better.

Speaking as a Leafs fan, tough call. Both teams are going to be going into this Round with something to prove. Both vanquished two of the favourites to walk away with the whole cup, both proved a LOT of people who didn't believe in them wrong. On paper, yeah, the Leafs should win, but on paper, Boston should have won. The papers mean nothing anymore.
I think the Leafs have more talent on their side (their offense is one of the most dangerous in the league, and has been for years now), but we all know how inconsistent their effort is, and how they tend to have difficulty dealing with a game spiraling out of control (although their comeback against Tampa may have somewhat diminished that). On top of that, Samsinov is a good goalie who is shy of being truly great. Nice to have, not someone you want to be pinning all of your playoff hopes on. So if the Leafs don't properly support him on the ice, they're in serious trouble. That being said, when everything clicks for the Leafs, they're one of the most terrifying teams in the league from an offensive perspective. You can call them "soft," but opponents like Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavarez, and even Morgan Reilly against Tampa… those are players no goalie is EVER looking forward to going up against. You let them run wild, you lose. Simple as that. They also have those new picks like O'Reilly, Schenn, and McCabe to help plug up some of those holes they've had for years. They're not the toughest team in the league, but they're far from the pushovers they've been viewed as for years now.
Florida may not have the sheer talent that the Leafs possess, but one huge advantage Florida has is that they've practically been playing do-or-die hockey for a while. Not just against Boston, but for MONTHS, back when even clinching a playoff spot seemed like a near impossibility. In every single game Florida was playing, even if they were outmatched, they were FIGHTING for that victory. It rarely felt it was because Florida wasn't good, just that the other team was better. That consistent drive is going to be a valuable weapon against the Leafs, who are obviously inconsistent on that front. In addition, while the Leafs may have more talented players as a whole, that's not a knock against Florida's skill. In particular, they were VERY good at disrupting plays and stopping any momentum Boston tried to build. Against a team like Toronto, who likes to build extremely dangerous plays very slowly, that will be extremely useful. That's all without mentioning players like Tkachuk, who I forsee giving Samsinov a lot of trouble if the Leafs let him.
The truth is, and this is a cop-out answer, that we're dealing with two unknowns here. Florida is the underdog story of the playoffs, dethroning the undisputed favourite to take the cup home this year. Not just because the Bruins choked (which they did), but because Florida was good enough to CAPITALIZE on that. It doesn't matter how badly you choke if your opponent can't rise to the occasion, and Florida did just that. Boston didn't LOSE that series. Florida WON it.
On the other hand, Toronto has finally, after 19 years, cast off the shackles that have been weighing them down for a generation. I don't care what you say, but having that hanging over your head, in a city as passionate about hockey as Toronto, will play a toll on your mental game if you let it. The curse is over, the streak is broken, and the Leafs now have a brand new future ahead of them. Toronto AND Florida should be going into this round with passion, hunger, and determination. Neither of them should even BE HERE. But they ARE, and we have to see how they respond to that reality.
EFFORT will be the determining factor. As a whole, I think if the Leafs show up firing on all cylinders, Florida probably won't be able to keep up. But if Toronto plays the way they did in Round 1, don't be shocked if Florida pulls another upset. Regardless, whoever wins will be the team that deserves to win. If Florida beats Toronto, it's because they EARNED it. And vice versa.
I’m sorry such a ignorant poll was made. I’m disheartened to find it was a fan of the leafs. I promise this is not how all Leaf fans are. It’s as sad as the times when fans have cheered injuries at games, and much the same doesn’t belong in hockey. We all want a battle, but not at the expense of player’s safety and wellbeing.
