The good news is that at least this was not as bad as when the Leafs blew a 3-0 series lead against the Habs.
The bad news is that the Leafs still found a new and innovative way to lose; which is getting the gentlemen's sweep and losing in OT at the hands of the other Florida team.
I grew up in the Greater Toronto Area and I hate the Leafs for their Legacy of Failure; but this year for some reason I had some hope.
All I asked for was that Toronto does not lose is some kind of humiliating manner so that my fellow 416-905 people who are Leafs fans will not have to suffer. That was not asking for too much…but yet again…

After seeing Dubas and Keefe celebrate like it was Christmas morning when they kicked out the Lightning (I'm a Bolts fan), I knew they were never gonna make it far. They weren't very impressive or convincing in our series with the exception of G2, and the final 10-20 minutes in Games 3-6. Mix that with a hot Panthers team and uncharted emotional territory for the players and they proved me right. They can now begin their next infamous streak lol
