@Oilers d'Edmonton

Jay réfléchit alors que les Oilers chutent par un score final de 5-2 contre les Golden Knights, les éliminant des séries éliminatoires de la Coupe Stanley.

  1. I like our chances next year. A full year of Ekholm, Kane, and players like Bouchard and Broberg will develop nicely over the year. Campbell will be better next season. We've seen on other teams how good he can be. If Holland finds a way to make a couple moves on the backend, I think the Oilers are on the brink of a successful cup run. Lets Go Oilers!

  2. Pretty much seals Campbell’s time with Edmonton as clearly if you can’t trust him for ONE game on the line you’re not moving forward with him next season and they’ll take that money to pay Bouchard imo.Skinner clearly hit a wall should have sit especially this game and why would he start the 4th line ? And then gets scored on in 30 seconds. Just trying to be smarter isn’t always the answer but this loss to Vegas and ADIN HILL?? Not acceptable!

  3. The Oilers have the player talent, but not the coaching talent. Coaching is not only having a strategic mindset but knowing who to play and when. If the Oilers don’t win the cup in the next two years, Woody should be sent back to Bakersfield.

  4. Don't see Woody staying around for very long at this point. Well-spoken but ultimately inexperienced and still makes many rookie coach mistakes that are costing us. Getting swept by the Avs last year + a round 2 exit this year simply isn't good enough for the team the Oilers have. Also seems to lack any kind of inspiring effect on his players.

Ken Holland has made some stinkers as well and will need to make some serious moves happen this off-season to improve us defensively or his time here might be coming to an end too.

  5. Edmonton is arguably the toughest opponent Vegas has faced in their entire playoff history since Washington 2018.

Thanks for an amazing and entertaining series, Oilers! 97 and 29 are an absolute beauty to watch (just not against my teams).

  6. Says the same thing every game! 😂 been a pleasure woody but I think you’re getting canned bud. Oilers gotta blow this roster up and reset. Last year was the peak for oilers now they’re on the downfall

  7. 5 minutes for Connor in the 2nd? Coach he is the best player in the world. Get him on the ice ffs.

  8. This coach is very good at selling himself in interviews with wonderful phrases but behind the bench, he is a very sub mediocre coach. Look at the icetime he gives certain players and not others, some of the line combos, defensive shambles game after game, being ignorant of Jack Campbell in the playoffs…..

  9. Id love to see the Foegle/Ryan/Mcleod back next year…during these playoffs they became my favourite line when put out!

  10. Average goaltending and poor defensive. Coaching is a problem. They cannot get these guys to play consistant system. Frankly woodcroft is irritating with his less then frank honesty. You cannot win the way they play.

  11. The dumbest decision you made, Jay, is you're just not smart and flexible to put Soup back for a few games that may have turned things around.

  12. Im gonna say this again. What's up with these coaches/athletes/media overusing the word "obviously", obviously this…obviously that, etc. Most pointless word uttered by these idiots.

  13. Edmonton simply doesn’t have playoff killers, all skill not enough heart. Toronto suffers the same.

  14. Skinner did not play horrible. In 2 of the games he got pulled the Oilers didn't even show up to play the game. They were dreadful defensively. This last game was probably Skinner's worst game but he is the guy that earned his coach's trust over 82 games and Campbell was probably the worst goalie in the entire league this season. He was god awful. He makes a couple of no pressure relief appearances and people want a guy who played horrible all season to play with the season on the line. It's far easier to come in relief then it is to start a game and have the pressure of winning. If Campbell wants to play in big games he shouldn't spend the season playing like an AHL backup goalie.

  15. Hindsight is 20/20 !! If Vegas didn't have a $96.0 million roster the Oilers would have won! The salary cap should be the same for every team during playoffs!!! Oilers roster $82.5 million!!! Regular season cap: $82.5 million!!!

  16. Why, so often the Oilers want to play vast amount of times on the boards. The other teams that score get to the slot often.

  17. The defense was the weakness all year. Any sport, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, etc…a great offense is fun but that always stalls out against good defenses in playoffs.

  18. My pops called this game when it was 2-1 and felt doubtful as Skinner was playing and not Campbell and he's not even a hockey fan!

  19. i think Canadian Teams in General make there players feel too much like home and they lose there fight mid year and thru the playoffs if they somehow changed it so they dont feel so at home they will have something to fight for You want them Uncomfortable but Focused Laser Focused Yamamotto needs to Go Nurse/Ceci need to go and we need to Sign Klim Kostin and Nick Bjugstad we need to start clearing cap and make room for improvements we need to Sign Bouchard as well So getting rid of Nurse is Key with Ceci

  20. Mike Smith took the team alot further than skinner and cambell ever could. And Smith was forty-oiler fans dont know how lucky they were to have Smitty

  21. Skinner allowed 4 or more goals how many games. Yes I’m a arm chair coach but Campbell would have been my choice
