I'm just crossing my fingers that Dubas won't sit idly by if he feels Sullivan is wasting assets. That's not to say Puustinen is a lock to put up 40 goals. And Hextall's comically inept cap mismanagement complicated the issue, to be sure. But I'm not sure anyone can convince me Sullivan's been dressing the best roster every night–for the past two seasons. There was no accountability for poor play, and no potential for reward for good play. Considering FSG gave Dubas the keys to the castle (which I fully support), and Dubas has no qualms with chewing out idiots in the stands, I'd be surprised if even Sullivan were allowed to wreck his vision for the team, whatever that is.
It's good that Dubas signed a two-way contract with Puustinen. The only drawback is Sully won't give him a chance to play or include him in the lineup. 😢

Maybe KD is thinking of Puustinen AS filling the Zucker roster spot? Certainly a youth injection/something different.

Puustinen will definitely get a chance, once he turns 30. That is Sullivan's favorite trait in a player.
